Robert Beck is the actor who ran Liam over (technically speaking, it was actually a stunt driver)
he played one of the Harrisons in Brookside who was accused of rape
the scenes for Liam's death were filmed off the corry set down the side of the bonded warehouse where you used to queue for the studio tour attractions, that is also where they bumped off Biran Tilsley nearly 20 years ago

Well he did used to go out with Louise in Emmerdale. Eee, they get around these soap actors.
I notice Cleaner Close has done a swap with Coro-- Alison King for Sue Jenkins and Julie Goodyear

John's a strange bloke. He's a bit like a sinister Curly Watts.

It has been redecorated by the looks of things, more in the style of the previous wallpaper.
Regarding John, I cant stand him! I hope this storyline finishes quick because his pathetic, whiney attitude does my head in!

Not sure if it's already been asked - but has the Rovers been redecorated again?

I was thinking that tonight, it does look a bit like the old paper - maybe people were complaining so they changed it back to the traditional Rovers style paper!
I agree with your comments about John too - he is a bit pathetic isnt he.

This lack of continuity or acknowledgement (in terms of the Rovers' redecoration) is worrying. It's a real shame as it seems to be back to form at the moment. But this, coupled with the Underworld factory now being the size of a football pitch after what was a (presumably) 'weekend refurbishment', just makes it lose all credibility. And that's what signalled the demise of Brookside...

Aaaargh! Please no more Kirk! He's as wooden as a block of solid wood from the woodshop in the forest. A voice like a foghorn and the physical acting skills of a Furby. Apart from that .... he's great!

Kirk is one of those under-used characters I think, although he is the perfect comedy foil for minor storylines.

The Underworld refurbishment was written into the show IIRC. I can recall there being workmen around the place for a few weeks (unless I dreamt that
).
As for the Rovers redecoration - I assume this was a decision on Kim Crowther's part, as the recent (fugly) revamp was under Steve Frost. I personally hated the new decor and thought it looked a lot better on Friday night. Perhaps they decided it would make little sense to incorporate that into the script because Liz had already done up the pub a few months ago. I'm not too bothered about little things like that as long as it doesn't become a regular thing. In terms of continuity I think they've improved recently.

I'd worry more about the TARDIS type qualities of the Rovers, rather than the wallpaper.
Toilets that lead into Ken & Derdrie's house and a back room that doesn't exist on the outside.
