I think the continuity of the script is lacking, If Carla was checking up on them she'd phone the factory not Julie's mobile

and the factory girls have been drunk in charge of a needle and thread since baldwin's Casual's opened Confused

is there some sort of temporal shift in the rovers which makes it night at the front and day at the back, look at the new window behind the bar towards the smoking area, when it's dark at the front there's daylight coming through Confused

No wonder the garage isn't doing well on Coro. There are hardly any cars parked on Coronation Street. Do all customers of the kebab shop, bookmakers, salon and chippy walk?

I'd understand them all walking, if there were parking restrictions on the street, but oddly there aren't (considering it's an inner-city narrow terrace street Confused ).

Is that the sound of hairs being split.... Laughing

What's with Steve suddenly best of mates with Dan - the guy he tried to lock in the pub cellar? Confused

And John crashing the taxi was a bit of a strange story link as well.

ah well.

Despite my recent moans about Corrie, I've got to say Becky really is damned good.

I just love the combination of a brash, confident exterior and her deep down insecurity and vulnerability. So good to have a Corrie character with some real depth for a change.

She seems very much out of the Elsie Tanner mould, and in many ways reminds me of Bet Lynch in her early days.

I agree about Becky, Katherine Kelly gives her real dimension. On the surface Becky is bubbly-- but underneath someone who's vulnerable.

Speaking of people moaning about Coro, I think some people need to get over themselves:

Complaints about Tony's football allegiances

... oh my days. It's only a few men kicking an inflated pig's bladder about; not life and death! Laughing Haven't these people got more worthy causes to complain about? Shocked

So Rangers fans would rather the nasty, morally bankrupt, boggle-eyed Tony showed allegiance to them instead?

I agree, characters have to have some form of basic belief system and interests in something to make them believable , Brookside viewers didn't get all het up because a character supported Liverpool and not Everton

They'll be accusing Emily Bishop of antisemitism for being Christian next Rolling Eyes

AS Tony said that he was allergic to the English National Anthem tonight I think we in England should all complain Very Happy Laughing

Another Rangers reference was dubbed out tonight apparently. Listen again to the bit where he says he dislikes "warm beer" and the English national anthem.

I agree, she is excellent. I also really love the double act between her and Roy and it will be a shame when Hayley returns really IMO. It was funny when Julie said Roy was Becky's dad - easy mistake to make really Wink

Ah yes, but it's OK for the Scottish to insult the English-- but not the other way round of course. That's PC for you Laughing

Not sure if it's permissable to discriminate against warm beer drinkers-- are they an 'opressed' minority? Wink

No, it's Valet Parking in that street. There aren't any cars parked there until a character needs to drive off, at which point their vehicle magically appears at the roadside.

Becky and Roy: sheer class. Roy's hopeless flailing when Becky flings her arms around him is fantastic.
