Was watching an episode from 1978 earlier and its a completely different show these days from what is was 30 years ago.

you mean they talk out of their ar.
don't remember reading about them
I thought the new family would be the one Dev has been fraternising with lately? Or was that tabloid tittle-tattle.
Square Eyes: Don't forget Roger lending "Owerleyanne" cash for starting up the restaurant. That (alongside discussing literary greats with Ken) has been the dramatic apex of his time on the Street

It appears not thankfully. I can't imagine Nina lasting long as a regular, what with her being less convincing than the plastic fruit in Dev's shop.
There's an article in today's Sun with info about the new family...
Link
Also an interesting link off that page about Hayley's return...
...which (if true) seems rather out of character to me. I'd rather they pick up the storyline about her son again which I felt had promise, but got cut short by her departure.

Very out of character, I hope it's not true. The son storyline would be a good one to pick up again but don't think they will.

Do you get a free cheque-book and pen when you open an account? [groan]
That proposed Hayley storyline sounds awful. As has been said, perhaps using her son (who has been heard from recently
), would've been a better idea for a leaving storyline. That's if she is leaving of course

Anyone else spot the company logo on Janice's debit card letter? 'Bankety Bank'!

Sad Wall Post of the Week:
I note that Tony and Liam are venturing down Poole Cavern. Except you can't do that, since it's guided tours only (unless your a proper caver!). The sign that said "No Entry" had been placed at the concourse out the cave (for some reason
)
John Thomson was on Paul O'Grady, he's going to be in the Street for two weeks, as an entertainer with marriage troubles. He's hoping to back in the future for another short stint.
Sharon Marshall revealed on This Morning that Julie "Hayley" Hesmondhalgh has returned to filming-- so she's in Coro for a while yet.

I thought that a bit odd, like you just walk past a danger sign because somebody says come with me, there's something I want to show you
how could he know what is down there to show him, had he been there before, and if so had he gone past the no entry sign then as well
all a bit of a silly set up just so we think he's going to chuck Liam off the edge
loved the factory girls in the cafe with Carla checking up on them and Julie saying to Fizz that Carla didn't suss they were in the cafe, then cut to Carla saying to Maria, they're in the cafe.
of course she knew that because Janice said 'lets get back to work' whilst Carla was still on the phone

Either you're getting more observant, or the Coro crew are getting lax with their continuity?
You quite right about the "No Entry" sign in the cave. It was placed just opposite where the pre-historic bones are, literally behind the entrance/exit to the cave. Even if you haven't been to Poole's Cavern, the fact that Tony and Liam were walking towards daylight ought to be a hint
To be fair the ledge scene did take place opposite side of the River Wye, tp where the public concourse is. Either the way, the scene was anti-climax I think. I thought Tony was seriously going to threaten him, or dangle him over the edge
As for Janice, how come she hasn't been sacked yet? All that skiving she's been doing. Not to mention the booze they knock back at the pub of a lunchtime, I think the HSE would have soomething to say about operating machinery under the influence
Yes, I know it's a soap, suspension of disbelief etc
