so the new produce want to breathe new life into the soap by resurecting a character nobody under 45 will remember

the street has changed a lot since Jed Stone was in especially the south side.

and I do like Keneth Cope as an actor so he should be good, he was in Last of the Summer wine the other week

I think the only talented actor/ess who is axed is

Kayleigh Morton

The character is terrible, but the actress is quite talented.

Of course,

Is also a good actor with a poor character

So true. New characters generally don't give quick results because they are new, and although a year ago most of those on the cull list would have been the right decision, I do think now most of them have bedded in it seems pointless to get rid and start the process again.

I agree, I mean look at Daryll, with him going David is now going to be back to being unable to interact with anyone his own age as there is nobody

I guarantee, whatever new family or whatever they bring in, they will be disliked for at least the first 6 months due to them being new and viewers not being interested in their intial storyline

Perhaps, as Jack P Sheperd is apparently good mates with Jonathon Dixon and their characters played off each other quite well as a result. It's difficult to conjure up another character so quickly.

Yes. Were we always right though? Confused

I agree, I think Darryl would be the one id most like to stay out of the Morten family.

They're getting rid of all the hated characters, but in slightly silly, overused storylines. I hope the new characters are better.

Bad news regarding Jed in today's NOTW:

Tony gets involved in a scuffle with Jed at his home, which involves Jed being knocked unconscious. Given Jed is the only thing standing in the way of Tony's new flat development, will the ruthless businessman leave Jed for dead?

According The Sun a few days ago, Peter does return soon. It's hinted he may be implicated in Liam's murder...

Alison King (Carla Connor) has announced her pregnancy.

Presumably this will see a return of the strategically placed Leanne Battersby maternity clipboard in the factory ?

well Claire had her maternity washing basket

Carla will just spend the next nine months behind a desk bit getting slightly further away as baby bump gets bigger

good luck to Claire King with her pregnancy

Ooh! Hopefully the writers come up with something amazing for the Tony Gordon storyline linking this in.

I'm sure you meant Alison King! You even mentioned her name earlier!
