the side door of the rovers is meant to exit from the kitchen

and talking of bad set design where did Amber appear from when there are no direct stairs from the shop to the flat Confused

There certainly used to be stairs from the shop to the flat.

that was before Alf extended the shop into the back room way back in the 1980s, the internal stairs were removed and the stairs with separate entrance put in.

I remember. However im sure I remember after the Mid 80s revamp of the shop Alf and Audrey going up to the flat via the shop rather than the outside enterance. I assume then since Amber appeared from a door in the back of the shop they have put a new route from the shop to the flat in when the shop was refurbishe in 2004.

Amber came in from the office which is an extention added after the shop was refurbished, it's a single storey level with the peacocks kitchen, although they havent built it onto the outdoor set yet just to cock up the continuity Confused

Just been catching up with last nights. Corrie seems to have improved again. Even Dev's scenes were interesting to watch for once.

Did anyone notice the 2 episodes were set on seperate days and not the usual 2 episodes set on the one day?

I have to disagree with you there, Jez. I've found the last 3 esisodes of Corrie extreemly boring. I had to fast-forward through the Dev/golf scenes and those with the Bookie (don't remember his name). So from 90 minutes of broadcast TV I was left with 15 minutes of viewable plot, dialogue and 'drama' - and that wasn't memorable either. Crying or Very sad

The seduction scene between Dev and that woman was particularly bleeeeuurrrggh (..and that's not an impression of Dev btw).

Has someone been seduced by his animal noises? The only scene I accidentally saw part of before managing to reach the FF button, was Dev doing some sort of Egyptian dance around the outside of the shop. I was ready with my finger hovering over the button every time he appeared after that!

Ditto. They also need to get rid of those bookies. Is it true that their contracts weren't renewed? And I also thought I heard the Mortons were being given a one way ticket from Weatherfield - was that true?

Yes, both true. Both the bookies and the Mortons should be gone by the end of the year, as well as Vernon.

I didn't mind Vernon too much, at least he had personality and he stood out.

My problem with Coro at the moment is that there are too many people, but not enough 'characters'.

I don't like the way recently a new bunch of characters have arrived. Okay, phased in one at a time. E.g. Tom Kerrigan, Auntie Pam etc. However the departing lot of Marcus/Vernon/Mortons/Bookies etc haven't went yet. It seems too overcrowded.

The way they introduced the Mortons and Bookies was wrong I admit (they all came together and then only had storylines mainly within themselves, hence we had 'Morton' storylines instead of a storyline with someone and a Morton)

But by now I think they are ok as they have mixed with other characters

I'd say keep them, because they'll only introduce a new set and the cycle starts again. That middle house on the posh side has had a long line of characters that don't stay very long

I agree that the Mortons have grown on me (even though Sinbad will always be sinbad no matter what show he appears in - sadly typecasted I think thanks to Brookie). Also keep the Bookies son - not had much storylines so far and I think he could be good given the storylines.

Glad vernon is going - never liked him, and same with whats his name from bad girls - but here is my shocker, its about time they got rid of Craig Charles - never has a proper storyline (or is this because he is still on very short term contracts with Granada/ITV)? I think time is also up for the Cotton fella (never remember his name nowadays) and please pension off Rita and Norris(again a straglers with no storylines nowaday)

Like the idea of Kev losing his garage - it would be better, and more realistic if he was forced out and forced to work for his competitor.
