Also I find it hard to believe that painting had been in the loft since Irma left Corrie in the early 1970s and had never been found until now. Both Susie Birchall and Hilda were in the loft in 1978 for a start!

Not forgetting of course that the lofts in the street are all inter-connected, as we know from the time Ken was up there and fell through the ceiling onto Leanne and Nick in bed. So I suppose anyone could have been in there.

Spoiler alert

Liam is to be killed off in a whodunnit type storyline. Shocked

You might want to put that as a spoiler for those who avoid such information.

But if that's to be the case... sounds a bit of a clichéd way to go. And sadly rules out a possible return.

Well I considered that, but if you read the tabloid press, browse the various entertainment websites or take in any form of media, chances are you'll know about it before it goes out on screen.

I'll put it in spoiler tags in case, but are we seriously now going to have a discussion about it in invisible ink ?

I agree with you, and made the same point a few months ago... but it seems there are those here such as Stuart who prefer not to know about major storylines in advance. The general concensus seemed to be to continue using spoiler tags.

Indeed Spencer, and thank you for remembering Wink

According to the papers, Jed Stone is to re-appear, once again played by Kenneth Cope. He is a resident threatened with eviction, due to Tony's flat developments

Even though I've heard of him, through reading loads of Corrie reference material(only born in 1971!), how many people will remember/know the character?

Even from the current cast, only Ken & Emily will remember him!

Its a shame that they are

killing Liam off especially as Michelle has already lost a husband and brother

Also the list of suspects is endless - Tony, Carla, Rosie, Maria, Ryan, Alex, even Michelle herself

I know what you're saying, I think said character appeared around 1962? Nice to see Coro harking back to its history of late; what with this character, Gail's father and the Ogden painting.

I noticed Peter Noone on Loose Women discussing Coro with Sherie Hewson. Maybe he'll be the next to return?

Jane Danson was excellent in that final scene and she did tears too!

Oh no - they should leave it a few years before this type of story - it's too soon after
Charlie Stubbs and to an extent even the Hillman murders
. If they're going to kill off a character they should think of another way of doing it - and not another car accident either.

Speaking of Lloyd, Steve should give him a pay-cut.

Both Lloyd and Steve are self-employed as co-owners of Street Cars. In fact, all mini-cab drivers are self employed.

(Mini-cab drivers actually have to pay the cab firm bosses for the rental of their in-car radio communicators.)

Well pointed out! Smile Although as you may have guessed, I was being facetious... the flaws of blithe occasion and all that Wink

Well Ken and Emily would be the only 2 out of the current cast who know him I think?

Talking of old Corrie cast that have been mentioned recently, I was watching Elsie Tanner's wedding to Alan Howard earlier today (1970) and had forgotten how great a character Irma was - wish she would return as well!
