Some great comedy episodes again tonight, especially with Liz oh and the possible end of Vera's stone cladding.

Is the actress who plays Claire Peacock pregnant? Or have they just taken to dressing her in voluminous smocks...?

I believe so. (Correct me if I'm wrong)

Harry (the bookie) has had his contract extended, presumably he will become further involved with Liz.

Good God no. He, and his son, are awful characters and actors (and from what I saw of his wife so is she!). They need rid.

This whole Liz storyline has been done too many times as well.

The attempt at hiding Claires pregnancy has to be the worst cover up since Leanne and the clipboard.

When's she being written out? I reckon they'll send Clare and Ashley away house hunting in Blackpool or something and let Ashley return to Corrie alone saying they've had a fallout.

Something like that anyway.

I can't remember where I read it but, the source said that Ashley will continue storylines, with Claire being mentioned but not seen. E.g. when the actor who plays Liz was ill earlier this year she was just mentioned as "Liz said.." or "She's in the back room" etc.

However this might have changed by now, pherhaps she could stay with her mother after a fallout with Ashley?

No I think you are right - Claire will be mentioned but not seen whilst Julia is on maturnity leave. They did the same with Sally back in 2003/4 , she just wasnt seen or mentioned much for a while. However the previous time Sally was pregnant they sent her off to look after her ill mother and Kevin was naughty with Natalie!

Apart from the excellent scenes with Sally and the lovely Claire I found last nights episodes rather run of the mill really. How many times have we seen Liz throw herself at men before!

Dont forget Corrie is on tonight at 7.45pm, so no complaints afterwards that people didnt know Wink

All About Soap say there is a Corrie episode on Sunday 8th June as well (doesnt say whether 1 hour or half hour), but no episode for Monday 9th June, so I guess this is down to Euro 2008.

It's the only year I'd rather see Corrie on than watch the Footie juding by the fact England aren't playing this year.

England aren't in Euro 2008, surprised they are bothering to televise it since they are usually only interested in it until England loose

zenaphobic lot Rolling Eyes

anyway, back to corry, think the story with the stone cladding was daft, why do it if it was going to stay on.

and Claire's pregnancy had been hidden so well they may as well have her hiding behind a box of pampers

So Paul wasnt all bad then as he left Jack's £10,000 behind.

That photo of Liz and Vernon was amusing too LOL!
