Anyone think the house swap storyline is silly? Ooo Clur and Ashley in debt, snip up credits cards and oooh move house! Rolling Eyes

Actually no i don't find it silly. We could be seeing alot of this happening in the real world in the not too distant future. I've found it rather comical. The whole process between Claire and Sal is a very typical girl thing. Especially Claires as she is the one downsizing.
So if Kev is to drink Chardonnay in the conservatory does that mean claire will be cooking chips and beans for the boys once settled in Kev and Sallys?

It is happening in the outside world, already, as new old neighbour (back in the UK) has swapped homes with someone else in the same area - basically down/up grading.

And I agree it is going to happen more and more often in the very near future thanks to Banks mistrust for each other and their customers!

Fantastic episode of Coronation Street tonight. Good to see Tina back, interacting with Ted and Gail. I liked the bit when he said, "I was married to James", the reaction on Gail's face was hilarious. Eventually, the Liam/Maria/Carla storyline is coming to some sort of climax.

Tina, even had a cracking comedy line ......"this just gets better" with a snigger on her face!

The quality seems to be steadily rising. Good second episode tonight. I loved the last scene.

Tina's really settled well in Corrie, I creased out laughing when she asked Ted what made him become gay 'Was it Audrey?'. Laughing Laughing Great scenes from the Platts.

That scene was so funny especially when Audrey said she thought "our David was a bit gay" Laughing

"My father is as far away from gay as you can get, he's a huge Rambo fan" Laughing Also Gail boasting of her right-on credentials, by revealing she is a Blairite.

Once again the scene with Becky and "Royston" were amusing, plus I think it's an inspired idea putting Owerleyanne behind the bar.

She obviously noted his 'orangeness' too then. Good old Audrey!

What a hypocrite Liam is. Earlier in the episode he said he would never cheat on Maria and by the end of the second episode he was in Carla's arms. I know Liam and Maria decided to end their relationship for now but he has gone down in my estimation (the character not actor! )

Loved the stuff with Tina and the Platts and I can only echo everyone else's comments about those scenes! 2 great episodes last night.

Ironic how they always manage to stick their finger's out after the British Soap Awards...

And as to Claire's and Sally's storyline, it does happen quite a lot in society. Indeed, I house swapped with my cousins, fancied a change of scenery.

How long before the actress who plays Claire, goes off on maternity leave & is this house swap storyline anything to do with it?

This interview on DS with Corrie's Assistant Producer, Gavin Blyth makes for interesting reading, including a hint that Eileen will soon get a big storyline at last.

It also sounds like Ted's going to be around for a while, which I'm quite pleased about - he seems like quite a good character, and well acted too. Plus it's actually quite a refreshing change for a soap to acknowledge that not all gay people are in their 20s!

Generally, it all sounds quite positive for the next few months on Corrie. I'm quite hopeful that the show's turned a corner at last after a dodgy few months.
