But do you not find they're all over the place anyway? In the papers, listings magazines, other TV programmes, etc.?

They are still quite easy to avoid. I don't get to see daytime 'snigger-fests' like This Morning or Loose Women , and don't read those parts of newspapers which seem to indicate future storylines. I enjoy my soaps, so I'm normally quite annoyed if the outcome of plots are revealed well in advance.

In that case do you find Corrie better for avoiding the spoilers?

It's nice to see the 'spoiler' function is working well

Apologies, it has been rectified. Thanks for pointing that out, before TVF's resident Angries of Mayfair did Laughing

Urm, well, no it hasn't. Why don't you check the post before claiming it's fine?

Roger, the necessary tags are [*spoiler]....blurb...[*/spoiler] (but without the asterisks) , nothing more complicated than that.

OK, OK, I get the message-- I am more than humbled. Can I get off my knees to retire to a quiet corner, so I can birch myself? Then you can clean your lecterns, there must be a lot of mouth-foam to wipe off.

Seriously though, maybe we should have a poll deciding whether we should have spoilers for forthcoming storylines-- settle the issue once and for all?

It's more fun if you let someone else do it! Shocked

The current method of 'spoiler tags' is sufficient. Members are free to post whatever they want, and those who wish to know can simply view the 'hidden' text.

Ooh matron-- always thought you were kinky under that stern exterior Wink They'd have to pay me first for the privilege of birching, I've got bills to pay y'know Wink

I hear what you're saying, and would agree with you on that-- reasonable enough point. But equally you if look back on this thread, you get people who then complain the thread has become a string of "spoilered" posts.

That's why I would suggest a poll on the matter, so we can lay the matter to rest conclusively and democratically Cool Just a thought.

Maybe a seperate spoilers thread may be a suitable option, or a general spoiler thread for all the soaps? Then if you dont want to see just dont click.

If you don't want to see, don't. That's the idea of the spoilers tag.

There is no issue here. The tag works fine for me and everyone else who doesn't like spoilers. Those that moan about there being no unspoilered discussion can't complain really. I don't imagine they're being serious though.

A general spoiler thread for all the soaps would annoy me - I'm only interested in Corrie!

Corrie silly? never!. Rolling Eyes

I hope they're in no rush to bring back Sarah Platt. Tina is a much better character (and actress). Certainly the best they've introduced in ages.

Erm no, they want to release some of the equity in their house by downsizing, seems entirely plausible to me.

And it's provided some amusement, seeing Claire now turning against the idea.
