Surprised nobody has mentioned the return of Corrie on a Sunday. Not sure if its a permanent move but its on tonight!

It isn't a permanent move it's just because the 8.30 episode wasn't on on Friday due to Coronation Street Family Album being on instead.

But why couldn't family album be on tonight instead of Friday though!

That's EXACTLY what I thought as well!

To give Flood a strong lead-in? I can't think of any other reason. I can see this happening more regularly though, until the Sunday episode quietly makes a permanent return.

I agree, thats the only reason I can see for the return of Corrie to Sundays as well. Especially as Family Album was a repeat so just a filler for the 8.30pm slot on Friday.

Normally id be annoyed at ITV moving Corrie to boost another show however I must confess I do miss having Corrie on Sundays and im looking forward to sitting down to watch it tonight. Id love Corrie to be on Sun, Mon, Wed and Fri with none of those annoying double episodes which are dragged out too much.

Why the **** have they moved it to Sunday? Why did they not think to tell the viewers at the end of the episode on Friday?

I don't read TV guides cover to cover, I don't have the TV on permanently. What the hell are they playing at?

I hope they're not shifting it back to Sundays on a permanent (or whenever they feel like it) basis, I like the 2 day gap and Sundays are better soap free - there's plenty of other things to be doing.

Its only for this week its on a Sunday. It looks like they did it to give a boost to the new drama which followed immediately afterwards, they had a trailer for it on the end credits less than a second after they started - instead they really should have put a helpline number up for people who have been in Maria's situation.

I enjoyed tonight's episode much more than I probabaly would have if it had been part of a double episode on Friday. Although tonight's was clearly the second part of a double episode I just find it too much having 2 episodes in one night.

Also I do like Corrie on a Sunday night as there isnt much else I watch on Sunday's (although Beat the Star is also good).

Anyway a good episode tonight, I felt sorry for poor Liam, he is going to find it hard to forgive Maria for not telling him.

Well you could watch it on ITV2 at 12.05am or the repeats during daytime on Tuesday, or the Omnibus next weekend! Wink

Anyone think Corrie has really improved recently? We havent had a bad episode for a while now IMO.

Maybe due to the lack of 'Micchuullle' and 'Aleex'?

Yes, that storyline is quite possibly the most boring ever! Also I think Michelle is overrated.

You've jinxed it Jez! No sooner do you say that than we have the riveting prospect of Ashley and Claire's financial woes.

As well as that random story about Steve locking his keys in the car. What was the point in that?
