Odd question, but did anyone else think they spotted Kris Murrin of 'Honey We're Killing The Kids' and 'The Woman Who Stops Traffic' as an extra in the Rovers on Monday's first episode?
I could have sworn it was her. If not it was a freakishly uncanny double.
Edit: couple of grabs from the ITV video player. Not too clear, but it's the extra with the blonde hair.

According to todays Sun, the entire Morton family, along with the bookies and Vernon are to be axed following a major forward planning meeting held this week.
They'll be gone by the end of the year apparently. Oh and the oldies are safe, Kim Crowther apparently believes the old guard are crucial to the centre of the show.

Nice to know they are axing the right characters. If they got rid of the Mortens, Vernon and the Masons then most of the boring/annoying people would be gone. Of course Lauren and Marcus are already going.
But only the other day it was reported the bookies had signed new contracts for another year.
Last nights Corrie were decent enough episodes IMO with several different storylines running. The main storyline with Paul confessing to the police was very well done I thought. I am wondering if he really did confess though, we only have his word for it he was on the phone to the police. We never actually saw him at the police station. I particularly liked the scenes with Jack when he said that Paul is definately Terry's son, and also some of the comments about Vera earlier on in the episode were very amusing and slightly moving now Vera is no longer with us. Its nice to see that the comedy with the Duckworths can continue with Jacks comments about Vera's cooking etc, you could imagine what her response would be
Also the chat between Deirdre/Gail was good as was Gail/Audrey visiting David in prison.
The Carla/Liam stuff was reasonably good, cant help feeling we have been here before though with the scenes in the hotel earlier this year. He behaved himself and slept on the sofa though but you can bet Maria will have something to say when she finds out he stayed at Carla's flat and wont believe him when he says he slept on the sofa.

I still believe the Mortons had promise, particularly now when there is only really 3 of them. Darryl is good with David, Mel is ok, although her being in the police storyline is too similar to Donna on Emmerdale, and Jerry seems better now they've made him into Sinbad rather than the slightly dishonest character that he was originally
Plus of course they will only need to introduce another new family, and the constant change of new familes never staying long continues

As Jez said it's been reported the bookies have resigned contracts - and I'm sure that's been confirmed in interviews with one of them. Dev's absence from the axe-list is disappointing though - he'd certainly be at the top of mine.
The Mortons I agree with - Vernon I'm not so sure now. Used to hate him, but he seems to have found his role now.
So that's the Morton house free for another family (or couple). Liam's house will be free too when they leave, and I think they could put someone new in the Battersby's now too - then there is the new development too, so plenty of potential homes for new characters.
