Emily and Betty must be quite old so probably only do a few episodes a year.

Eileen Derbyshire is 77 and Betty Driver is 87!

Barbara Knox is 74.

EDIT: I think Betty may officially be the oldest regular character/actor ever in Corrie within the next year as Ken's uncle Albert was 88 when he died.

I reckon they could bring Spider(or Geoffrey) (Emily's nephew) back. He could have shed his eco-warrior looks and is now a respectable Bank Manager or something.

Who can forget the time Emily was protesting up a tree on the Red Rec! Laughing

Apparently Eileen Derbyshire gave an extremely rare interview in 2005 after acting with the deaf actress who played her neice Freda.

Dear David Platt has he learnt nothing from Heather Mills McCartney?

I don't think David will have any chance of walking away from court with £24million somehow Wink

I think Emily is underused as well. There seems to be a paradox on Coro of late, where we have more characters than ever before, yet the same ones seems to dominate the storylines all the time. About time we gave Eileen a storyline to get her teeth into for instance?

I don't think we see much of Emily and Norris at home now. In fact, has there been any scenes in Emily's house at all in recent months.

Admittedly I've not been watching much, but everything I can recall with Emily lately is either outside the house or at the Kabin or Rovers.

I thought you watched everything at once Brek? Wink

Last time we saw Emily was in the Rovers with Rita I think. Doesn't Norris stay at Rita's now? or am I confused?

You must have watched quite a bit though if you have seen Emily in that many scenes!

I think Emily last appeared in February - it was around the same time Reet was in it before her month long absence.

had no idea she was even married. She is a very private person and has done well to keep it private for 47 years

I can't believe Gail's only 50, she looks much older I'm afraid.

She's closer to 60. 57 in real life.

And Sue Nicholls is 64.
