Second episode was undoubtedly the best episode of Corrie so far this year. Absolutely fantastic from start to finish, with some brilliant lines from so many of the characters, including Blanche who had me in tears of laughter on more than one occasion.
I also loved that last scene with Audrey and Gail. It was nice to have the story looked at in a different way, with Gail talking about her upbringing. It was different from the cyclical scenes we usually get.
It almost felt like the Corrie of old tonight. Jonathan Harvey was firing on all cylinders. I just wish it was like this every episode. Just brilliant.

I agree with that critique. A fantastic moment of bathos with Rita, beautifully delivered.
Then of course there was the perfect counterbalance with "Royston". We have carange on the street courtesy of David, and all Roy is concerned about is bat droppings. Loved Becky's line: "Are they protected species like dodos?"

Were the windows that were smashed by David magically replaced by the Wednesday episode or were they boarded up?
I have just read the following articleITV.com - Charlie Moves On, hopefully they will make good use of the actor before he goes.
(Hopefully Sean will exit aswell with him!)

I disagree.
Love triangle sounds interesting, shame Sean's involved.

you only saw the salon window boarded up (with magic board which allows light in as it wasn't any darker inside the salon)
the barlows and duckworths windows were out of shot in a few scenes so didn't see them
