Becky & Lloyd did at one time.

Ah yes, thanks for that. Since the pub smoking ban came, we don't see them smoking as often I guess.

Why is it they always seem to make an issue of Deirdre smoking? I mean, does nobody else in Weatherfield smoke?

Deirdre tends to smoke in times of crisis - so every single day then!!

Becky, Steve (not sure if he does now but he certainly did) Liz, Lloyd, Janice and Jack are all smokers I believe.

Of course Elsie Tanner, Bet Lynch and Karen McDonald were rarely seen without lighting up a ciggie! (especially Bet)

Ken actually used to smoke - we saw him light one up in the very first episode. Dont think he smoked for long though.

Darryl Morton, Eileen and Dev (cigars only) are also smokers. When Leanne Battersby first joined the Street she also smoked.

Are you sure about Eileen? I don't recall ever having seen her smoking.

When she first took over the switchboard at the taxi company she was a chain smoker.

Yes Vera definately smoked but gave up at some point.

have you noticed that no younger characters have grown up and end up smoking, they seem to come in as smokers or non smokers

guess the don't want to encourage smoking

they can encourage binge drinking, extra marital sex, teen sex, abortions, arson, murder, child abduction, bodys under the patio, sorry wrong soap, etc etc

but not smoking because children might be watching Wink

We might see more smokers once Vernons smoking shelter is finished.

In addition, the older characters can smoke all their life and rarely get any smoking related diseases, yet of course as soon as a youngster has sex, it's either a baby or STD without exception.
