Thanks for clearing that up about Lynda Block BTW Jez; more footballer's bike than footballer's wife then Wink

LOL! Well Lynda Block was a great character, a strong woman who wouldnt put up with any crap but less selfish than Carla.

Another good episode tonight with lots of comedy thanks to Becky/Roy and Fiz/Kirk.

I also see Ryan is back but thankfully this plot was kept to the minimum - would have been better if he had gone away for longer though.

From previews it seems to be back to the surface next week with the return of Alex.

Oh no.... Can't they just drop it for a month... or altogether.

Seeing as they've started it, they have to follow it through or else people would criticise them

It is nowhere near the main story next week though, there's at least 2 big things happening next week

Always have to focus on the negatives

Exactly.

And yes it wasnt even mentioned in Whats on TV's soap guide. The main storylines next week are;

Gail remembering/finding out David pushed her

Paul setting fire to the restaurant

Also there is the ongoing comedy of the Strange Couple to admire. I thought the scene with Roy tampering with a bolt/Becky picking her fingernails and talking about a David Tennant obsessive was brilliant last night. As well as her retort to Lloyd about the shower.

I wonder if Fiz and Kirky will get back together? I can see a will they or won't situation developing there possibly Confused

Leading onto another boring cliffhanger no doubt.

I totally agree, on Monday the cliffhanger "Will Leanne go through with it" was pathetic because we know this particular "cliffhanger" wouldnt be resolved in the second episode.

Great to see Liz and Deirdre finally reappear last night. But where are Reet and Emily?

next cliffhanger we'll have is will Smichael cock his leg up Blanche's begonias, they are getting a bit desperate, why can't they just end on a normal scene

I think also it's partly the announcer's fault as well by saying things to emphasise the cliffhanger. I mean, yeah, the cliffhangers are bad but it could end on just "continues in half an hour" but no. Obviously Corrie is ITV's golden goose and regardless of whether it gets high viewing figures, they'll still plug it to death and use it as foil for other programmes.

I agree, its the announcers that make it far worse, I dont see why they need to say anything at all, it says on the screen "continues in half an hour".

It's a wonder now they haven't worked it into the scripts - "I'll tell you in half an hour".
