Better episodes tonight but they screwed up the end just then I thought.
David and Tina's scene followed by the dinner party scene with Tony asking Cala to marry him - but Cala not giving the respinse - and then then end... that would've been a good cliff-hanger until Wednesday!
Corrie annoys me because they don't seem to like doing proper cliffhangers unless it's the dire double.
I love Coronation Street, however, during the past 12 months it has just been an ordinary drama and therefore does not deserve a nomination. The shock of not getting a nomination may make them make a few changes for the better.
Eastenders were snubbed a couple of years ago and since then they have bounced back.
I know Corrie's going through a bad patch but surely they don't deserve to be snubbed..?
Don't they? Clearly there are better "continuing dramas" on the box right now. Corrie had a pretty awful 2007 so why should warrant a nomination?
As you know I thought 2007 was good, it had some bad episodes like most years but it was generally very enjoyable IMO. So far its been 2008 that has been disappointing, although things have picked up over the last few weeks now a certain storyline isnt dominating the show so much. 2007 was miles better than 2005 was yet Corrie had a nomination for that year and may have even won it - I know they did win it about 3 times in a row.
I notice Hollyoaks also isnt nominated, considering some people think that Hollyoaks is the best soap on tv at the moment.
Out of those nominated id go for Holby City - probabaly my 2nd favourite show behind Corrie at the moment.

Even Sean had some funny lines tonight with Betty
Agreed it was great to see Betty last night. She had quite a few lines too. However I could have done without Sean - notice its as if Vi and Jamie never existed now.

Sarah to make 'gradual' return to Corrie
I did chuckle at that story. She's not exactly given it long has she? I does amaze me how some of these former 'child-actors' think they can pick up another job so easily. She's obviously missed the income and reckons it's a safer bet to return to that.
