I noticed on the omnibus edition this afternoon on ITV1 they didn’t show last Sunday’s episode, and started off with Monday’s. This is clearly due to there being a 1 hour episode on Wednesday and they couldn’t fit it all in and were just given the usual slot for 5 episodes not 6, but surely the whole idea of an omnibus is you get ALL the episodes.

When watching the omnibus after watching the episodes in the week, does anyone else notice the extra scenes and phrases of dialogue put in? The Brookside omnibus also used to have huge chunks where entire scenes were different. There was a bit put in yesterday when Todd, Eileen and Sean were in the pub talking about Oxford, and the scene where they were about to go into the house whilst Jason and Sarah were in there was different as well. I realise that these short bits were probably cut out of the weekday versions to make them fit in their slot, but why reinstate them for the omnibus - that's it they are doing it and I'm not just losing my marbles!

They cut the word out of todays omnibus edition of corrie today on ITV 1 when Todd caught Sarah and Jason in bed it was "You" and then cut to the next part of that scene.

Apparently there were 27 complaints according to one of the papers the other day. That's out of a total of 11 million viewers. Kind of says it all really!

I cant believe people complained, its not like its the first time that word has been said on Corrie.

I imagine they're the kind of people who sit watching the telly waiting for something to offend them just so they can make a complaint.

After watching last nights episodes I noticed that the 1 hour "special" we had last week has messed up the episodes. Sunday's episode and the first Monday episode were clearly meant to be the monday double, but instead we got what should have been Wednesday's episode which meant at 8pm we were left with one of the weakest cliffhangers ever. I wonder if they will drop an episode somewhere over the next few weeks so we will get back in line and the Monday doubles will fall where they should be.

Well I wasnt bothered that Corrie didnt win best soap at the Inside Soap awards, I gave up on inside soap ages ago. However I hope this isnt a sign of whats to come at the NTA awards next month.

Just out of interest when is Plus showing the Christmas Day episode of Corrie from 1993? As it will be very soon, plus I want to set the video for it.

Though I agree about the whole Inside Soap thing, hopefully Corrie should do well at the NTA's, but as it's the public vote that counts it wouldn't suprise me if EE win. But as I was lurking around the shops today to buy next week's TV Guide, we in our house usually buy TV Quick, but most magazines had Shane Richie on the cover, so I bought TV Times instead, it didn't have Corrie on it, but it shows how much EE annoys me nowadays. There wasnt actually an episode broadcast on Christmas Day in 1993 as it was a Saturday (back then Corrie only went out on its normal days of transmission over Xmas unlike now). The episode broadcast on Christmas Eve 1993 will go out on Plus next Monday. From what I remember it was a great episode, but poor Vera.

Yes hopefully Corrie will do well at the NTA - but as its live we wont have any warning about the results! Anyone know what date the NTA will be held? With the mags, 75% of the time I buy Whats on TV as I like the soap guide in it - although if I feel like a change I will get TV Quick or TV Times, esp if they have Corrie covers! I buy Soaplife and All About Soap out of the soap mags, they have more EE covers than Corrie but arent anywhere near as bad as inside soap - soaplife mainly do split covers between a few different storys.

Kate Ford, who plays Tracey Barlow, has signed a new contract which means she will be on the show until at least October 2005.

However this could be the last contract that she signs as she wants to try other things.

I watched It'll Be Alright on the Night last night, nice to see Coronation Street stars and actual clips of outtakes from the show - including Maya pouring tomato puree all over herself and Hayley sneezing numerous times! Laughing
