It's just you I think. You have an extraordinary spatial awareness. You'd be a dab hand on the Krypton Factor.

Their distinctive orange carrier bags seem to be showing up on alot of programmes now.

Talking about product placement, many times I have seen Sainsbury's products on screen, ie orange juice cartons & the cleaning materials Kirk had in his box on Mon, The Sainsbury logo is always obscured by other objects though.

Gail went to Freshco a couple of weeks ago when she agreed to go out and leave David and Tina alone.

Of course nothing to do with Sainsburys being on Regent Road in Salford- the nearest supermarket to Granada perhaps?
When I moved to Salford with my now husband, and my mum came up to stay- she closely followed John Savident "Fred" round that Sainsburys for about 15 minutes. Boy did she dine off that with her friends back here in Plymouth.

Im sure the small Tesco store is nearer to Granada than the Sainsbury's? I always go to the Tesco when im there - every little helps.
She should have asked him for an autograph and photo instead of following him around!

Not quite as there is a Tesco Metro - ex Natwest Branch- about 500m away (junction of Deansgate and Quay Street) and a Sainsbury's local on the other side of the road - ex Halifax branch, plus all the new niche shops at Spinnigfields, literally just across the road (new RBS English HQ)

The irony is it's usually only when they try to disguise the product that the viewer notices it and where it comes from. ITV2 is the worst with American Idol and those blurred Coca-cola glasses - we probably wouldn't give them a second thought if they didn't go to the effort to obscure them.
Corrie wise though the idea of Bettabuys or Freshco's is something they could do with again - a location away from the Street featuring a few regulars.
Always liked it too in that period when they used the Weatherfield Arms / the Feathers quite frequently as an alternative venue - just offers something a little bit different and shows characters have a life away from the street.

Yes I liked the use of the Weatherfield Arms too. For a while they all went to the Clock restaurant too - what happened to that?

They was Delphine's before that too. I imagine Clock 'became' Leanne's new restaurant?
You never see the Red Rec anymore either (where was that in real life by the way?)
