Stupidest scene there. As if you'd just strip to your underwear in a bookies.

is it me or does Mathew Compton only play manipulating bullies

in brookside he was a bullying boyfriend of Jacqui Dixon's who manipulated her into breaking into the school and set it on fire

then a few years later he played the boyfriend of Debbie Gorden and bullied her son Calum in a child abuse story line

now in Corry he is a manipulating bully picking on Paul for owing him money

give him a few years and he'll be a manipulating PC in The Bill bullying confession out of inocent people he doesn't like

I thought he actually came from The Bill toCorrie!! Confused

He's already been in The Bill Steve. He played Sam I think?

Aye that's right, he played PC Sam Harker in The Bill. A comeback there is well out of the question what with his tragic passing following the Sun Hill station explosion back in 2002. From what I can remember about the character, he seemed a well to do, passive sort of bloke who was in no way manipulative.

Another ridiculous cliffhanger tonight involving that ruddy Alex/RYAAAANN storyline, hopefully now Alex has gone back spells the end of all this.

Talk about padding out a storyline!

RYAN "What's he doing here?"
ALEX "What's all that about?"
STEVE "eh calm down eh"
VERNON "err, can I get us a brew..?"
MICHELLE "RYAAAN? ALEEXX? Look am sorry!"
LIZ "Err Steve? I just duuurn't neehh!"

ad nauseam.. Rolling Eyes

That rather depends on who the bookie was Wink . The unbelievable part was that he'd actually left the house wearing a pair of Superman boxers Shocked

Seems I missed nothing while I was at the pub last night then. Yet again I wonder if it's worth bothering to catch up with the omnibus. Shouldn't be like that really shoud it.

Well the scenes with Tina and Gail were well worth watching - the rest of the episode was boring though.

We had a scene in the Rovers with Sean and its as if Violet never existed now, I know he decided to put it behind him but this is ridiculous. They dont develop characters properly anymore.

The scenes with Kirk and Chesney felt like padding as well - especially when Norris came round to complain about the noise.

And another great perfomance from the lad who plays Ryan tonight - NOT!

Talk about wooden and emotionless. Michelle should have kept Alex and sent Ryan packing to stage school (as the stage) - although Alex's acting was only marginally better!

they had a car alarm going in the background which seemed irelevent, you'd think they would have reshot that after silencing the alarm.

another point, why did Norris knock on front door when there is a door bell.

It's the Battersby's (minus any Battersby!) - do you really think the doorbell would work?
