Well, no-one watching in my house thought the "*******" stood out - it's featured on other pre-watershed programmes regularly when the script requires it.
I doubt they'll be any complaints about it, but a random MP and the Mary Whitehouse brigade will probably start a campaign to get ITV taken off air.

There are unofficial guidelines about the use of swear words (strong language if you prefer) in pre-watershed drama - it is permissible but only for dramatic licence.
The word "b**t**d" is usually allowed once or twice a year in the main soaps, and apart from late night editions of Brookside and Hollyoaks, is the crudest word used in soap.
Each soap is allowed one use of the word "bitch" each week, and restricted use of the word "bloody".
I doubt using such words will cause anyone apart from the Mail brigade to complain, it might have been different if Todd called Jason a c...

I noticed on the omnibus edition this afternoon on ITV1 they didn’t show last Sunday’s episode, and started off with Monday’s. This is clearly due to there being a 1 hour episode on Wednesday and they couldn’t fit it all in and were just given the usual slot for 5 episodes not 6, but surely the whole idea of an omnibus is you get ALL the episodes.
And for those of us that watch old episodes on Plus, unfortunately there are no plans to bring back the early evening episode, apparently the crime shows that plus screen are more popular than the soaps. However the good news is Plus plan to carry on showing the 9am and 12noon editions. Storylines are really good at the moment and we are only a few weeks away from 1994 episodes. Granada + will be 8 years old on Friday so its taken 8 years to show from 1976-1994, (18 years or storylines)

Apparently there were 27 complaints according to one of the papers the other day. That's out of a total of 11 million viewers. Kind of says it all really!

A new Corrie website is up and running - a Digital Spy member started it because ITV have done a bad job at their one.
