I wish I could be like you Jez. I like to think I'm a massive Corrie fan but there's only so much I can put up with really. I'm sure it'll improve eventually but right now I'm not enjoying it. Sad

Well im sure you are a massive fan. A friend of mine was a huge fan but gave up watching in 2005 after almost 30 years - she had been bored of it ever since Richard Hillman's storyline came to an end. She still has to tape every show though as she watches Barbara Knox's scenes as she is such a huge fan of her's (and thats how I know her as im a Barbara fan too Wink ) so checks the credits or asks me if Barb turned up LOL!

Although I love Corrie to bits I will still slag it off if I think its crap. I have done in the past. Its only been since New Year thats ive got fed up of it and thats mainly down to the new schedule of 2 eps on Fridays I think - the format now means we have 2 x 1 hour episodes dragged out. I did mostly enjoy what we had last year.

I was in your position about EastEnders then gave up watching completely (apart from the odd BBC3 repeat every now and again).

Hate to agree with Mr "permanent bad smell under my nose" Hyland but he's spot on.

We've all been saying it for months - maybe the producers will go and have a good long look at the show now the critics are highlighting the problems. I liked the way he called Sinbad "Sinbad" too.... well he is isn't he?!

I missed the last 3 episodes, I have them recorded to watch (I think) - but if it's just more Ryan/Alex yawn-fest and bloody Sean (I've really gone of him) - then can anyone here save an hour or so of my life and fill me in on anything that I ought to have seen? Please?

It was mainly Ryan/Michelle/Alex and Sean/Violet/Jamie. Unless you fancy watching Dan go to Leanne's restaurant again and get away without paying for his meal due to the debt Paul owes him Wink

Oh and we had more crap with Kelly and her underwear parties - those scenes were saved by Wiki though who really should get a bigger part in the show.

You're joking Jez yeah?

I really feel Corrie is the weakest of the soaps at the moment - boring and predictable.

The Sean scenes were cringeworthy on Friday.

Something needs to be done - you can have too much of a good thing - my suggestion is cut the episodes to 3 a week.

Thanks Jez! I guess I'll end up skipping through huge chunks of it then!

I like Wiki too - she's really funny! Can't stand Kelly though. I'm really hoping for an Alex etc free week...

David and Daryll went to get tatoos which was quite amusing. Daryll was talked in to getting 'England' done but only managed half the E so it looks like an L. A comedy scene in the Rovers where everyone found out took place

Steve went to speak to Liam and said 'flipping' a lot

Talking about 'Sinbad', he was a very popular character on Brookside so he should really be one on Corrie. 'Loveable rogues' generally are.

Joking? About Wiki? No I actually like the character and she has some great lines. Id much rather her get a bigger part than Kelly.

I agree the Sean scenes were bad when Violet and Jamie drove off, but he wasnt too bad in the scenes later on with Marcus in the car and then back at the flat. Lauren was far worse though she was absolutely dreadful in those scenes when running to look for Sean.

Well ive been saying it should be 3 nights a week for the last 5 years!

I am looking forward this week to seeing Gail Force's reaction though when

she finds out that Tina is pregnant to David

No, Tully is a terrible actor. Vera had better facial expressions after she'd died than he managed to muster in a supposedly emotional set of scenes.

Why single out that scene? She's been dreadful in every single one she's been in. About as much use as Dev and the Morons.

Because that was a scene where Lauren was supposed to be worried and frantic about what was happening and she failed badly to show that. She has been bad in every scene I agree, but in this episode it really highlighted how bad she is.

I think baby Dylan's facial reactions to being asleep were better than Lauren's facial reactions to being awake.

so Alex stays another week.

that would be good for Michelle, not only will she contracted to say Ryaaaan! she can also shout Alllleexx as well.

sad to hear they've covered up the window overlooking the corry set, the museum will loose custom from people who only went in there to nose out of the first floor windows.
