Personally I didn't know the outcome, serves you right for reading the spoilers

Good to see Dev tonight, and notice no cut aways from the start of the vows to a scene in the kebab shop and then back to the 'you may kiss the bride' bit like what usually happens

Dev seems to only show up nowadays when there's a funeral or wedding on!

I had no idea what was going to happen tonight, I felt sorry for Carla. I can see an affair happening.

Um I didnt say it was a bad thing that I knew the outcome did I? Id have found the episode predictable and had deja vu had I not known the outcome, so yes serves me right for expecting better. Rolling Eyes

These wedding episodes where they do the big "will they wont they" usually at the end of the first episode, are so annoying to watch. Why not have a wedding for once where nothing goes wrong, or better still come up with different ideas. Weddings used to be occasional but we seem to get them every 2 months lately.

Well they have a funeral or wedding practically every fortnight now so plenty to keep Dev going for a bit yet.

What is the point in these "will they, won't they" stories when they always do in the case of weddings, and don't in the case of dying.

I hadn't read any spoilers but had no doubts that they'd get married - it's that predictable, as is Liam probably being in bed with Carla when Maria goes into labour.

No but I wouldnt be surprised if its dragged out until then - unless Rob James Collier leaves before then of course.

Also I agree Brekkie - in the case of when a character might die they always live unless the actor has quit and its alll over the papers that they will be killed off, like what happened with Vera. Whereas with Liam we knew he'd live.

Indeed. I wish they wouldn't waste their time with these gimmicks and just focus on writing some decent drama.

Lose the licence? Rubbish.

It's true, unless they have changed the licensing laws recently. There is nothing to stop a pub re-applying after closing for a while, but the application has to be advertised and invites objections from pesky neighbours who have nothing to lose by causing trouble with such a move. That's why most pubs attempt to stay open (even if nobody actually comes in) that way they don't have to go through the process of re-applying.

I thought it was good tonight but I agree with others, very predictable. Looks like its a sudden 'happily ever after' for the RYAAAANN! storyline as well.

When they were giving the vows, they should have had a quip or snide remark from Blanche or someone (even though the Barlows weren't there) in the crowd I thought. It seemed to drone a bit.
