Two good episodes tonight especially the showdown with Gail and Eileen. I also felt sorry for poor Becky at the end.

I also watched the Tonight programme (on ITV West as its not on Wales until 1am!) and it was interesting to hear Liz Dawn's story. It really is a terrible disease and hopefully it will make smokers think twice.

I like Eileen's epithet for Gail: "Jeanette Crankie" indeed. Fandabbidozy.

I do enjoy Eileen & Gail's spats. They provide some great comedy moments. The writers have given Sue Cleaver some great one-liners over the years. I did pity that poor hanging basket! Laughing

It was reported in The Mirror that Lauren will leave Corrie!

YAY! Now all we need to do is get them to axe The Mortens, The Masons, Kelly and Sean Wink

Oh praise the lord! And I agree on your other choices for the axe as well Jez. Let's get rid! Laughing

Agree, but they would have to replace the Morons (and Sean) with something.
I don't see them getting rid of Cotton that quick.

The've got to bite the bullet on the Mortons soon - Daryl's growing on me a little, but "Sinbad" just doesn't fit.

I liked Liam's cousin - he can come back again! Wink

I think TPTB at ITV probably wouldn't let Crowther axe him even if she wanted to. The Mortons could be replaced by a proper family. I think we need a new, fresh, dynamic family but they'd need to be planned, cast and written properly. Otherwise there's no point.

Don't always blame the actors. The writers have alot to answer for in the bad Corrie episodes. Why don't you come up with an idea for a "dynamic" family that fits into the Street?

That's probably the reason why-- because everyone thinks of him as "Sinbad" still Laughing I think he was much better as Ken on The Royal ; although he was still "Sinbad" he was less so on that-- if that makes sense!
