wasn't violet meant to be some secret love child of Martin Platt?

Never heard that Steve. Although the actress is called Jenny Platt Wink

sorry it was mean to be Brian not Martin, Embarassed

she was going to be Sharron Gaskill's daughter.

well, I'm still waiting for them to demolish the street as stated in the Gospel according to the Sun chapter 1988 verse 12

Of course unofficial vandalism on the Street, especially by visitors to the set, is to be frowned upon and condoned. Wink

surely you mean not condoned Confused

the back gates are full of gaffitti and I did wonder how somebody managed to make off with the door knob off number 7 without being spotted

Oh right, I dont think it got that far between Brian and Sharon though - Gail told Rita and she soon put a stop to it!

I think this would've worked better than expecting viewers to swallow a "swapped at birth" plot - I feel they are insulting my intelligence!

Interesting idea there but from what has been said in the script its unlikely Dean would have slept with someone else. They do seem to be making out he was some kind of saint, killed in a car crash by evil Paul who blamed him for the crash.

I wonder just how unrealistic a swapped at birth storyline is though?

'Liam' quits Corrie over "typecast" fears
More bad news for the Street. If only the Mortons and the Bookies would quit.

First Sean, now Rob hmmm...

Don't blame him - this current storyline is just awful.

So we'll next be seeing him in Holby city, Heartbeat or the Bill, oops sorry no the bill is for ex enders actors.

I think panto is the next step for most ex-Corrie actors who can't get a golden handcuffs ITV Drama Premiere deal.

Considering it is generally seen as the number one show in the country, it's former stars do seem to vanish of the radar quite quickly - unlike EastEnders over-rated stars who after a quick stint on Strictly will turn up in The Bill a few months later.

It seems to be a trend with many of the actors thesedays. All those who have been around for say 10 years stay loyal and end up staying forever, all those who are newer stick around for a few years before deciding to leave. We'll never get a new Ken Barlow ever again

They never get a better role than what they had in Corrie and end up in Holby City anyway

Just as Liam was getting good. Terrible for Corrie, he really does make it watchable. Pay him more Corrie!

I hope Lauren leaves with Violet and Jamie when they exit. She is just as bad as Sean. However I have a feeling she will be staying around for a while yet.. (and then she will leave).

When does the new producer start? I hope she axes half the boring and pointless characters.
