Can a knowledgeable Corrie enthusiast advise who arrived in the show first out of Rita, Betty & Emily ?

Actually a chronological timeline of arrival of all the current cast of characters would be useful, anyone up to the challenge ?

Do you want a timeline to the very minute they first appeared?

Emily arrived first afaik.

Emily first appeared in episode 15 (January 1961)

Rita Littlewood made her first appearance in November 1964 in just 1 episode, then wasnt seen again until 1972 when she joined as a regular.

Betty Turpin arrived in June 1969 and has been there ever since.

Actually I cant remember when Sean arrived - around about 2003 or 2004 I think. He was there when Todd left in 2004.

Re: Sean - I know him and Violet were supposed to be old friends, but can't remember which one arrived first.

Blanche Hunt was originally played by Pauline Cutts. She appeared in 2 episodes before committing suicide. She was then replaced by Maggie Jones.

Vera first appeared in 1974 on her own. She was one of the factory girls. It wasn't until 1979 that Jack appeared and became a regular 2 years later when the Duckworths moved into the Street.

Sean arrived first.

blanche was played by two actress, the first, Patricla Cutts, comitted suicide

and vera came in 1974 and Jack in 1976

I like the way Ivy came in with a husband called Jack and no children, only to end up with a married to Bert with a son called Brian

so basically corry contiunity was just as crap 30 years ago
