What betrayal? Jason and Sarah are both free agents so this has nothing to do with Todd. And him saying it a betrayal is a bit rich considering he slept with someone else when he was still engaged to poor Sarah.

Agree about the Tracey / Steve storyline - very good indeed.
As for Sunita - well she'll be whisked away by Parky soon!

Yes I thought the scenes between Tracey and Steve were very good tonight – I cant wait to see what happens between now and Karen’s exit.
I felt sorry for poor Sunita, sitting there in the rain waiting for her father who never turned up.

oooh, a case of soap mirroring real life there then. Isn't Tina O'Brien in a relationship with the actor that plays Jason after previously going out with Bruno Langley ?

Yes, she is. Tina and Ryan Thomas (Jason) have been going out for about a year, before which Tina and Bruno were in a two-year relationship.
Probably the closest Corrie , or any British soap, has come to art imitating life, unless anyone can think of another example...

Another one I can think of is that Patricia Phoenix married the actor who played the character Elsie married on screen (Alan Howard). I think they split up on and off screen too, well they certainly divorced on screen.

Wasn't there some tabloid tale about the 2 guys only speaking to one another in the context of production, due to this, some time back?

There was a classic Corrie on Plus this morning, all the way from November 1993, it was the one where Tanya sets up a fake photo shoot for Raquel at 'R Marney's', brilliant Corrie moment IMO.
Can't wait for it to get to December/Christmas 1993, I know it's good at that point.
Another good one on ITV1 tonight, the funniest bit being when Jack, Vera, Tyrone and Kirk all came into the restaurant, that was very funny.

Isn't there a lot of women in soaps who manipulate people and seemingly never get found out, there's Leanne who's got everyone thinking Dev tried it on, Tracy who manupulates everyone and then of course Maya. Over in Emmerdale there's Chloe and Steph, all these deserve a good slap.
Secondly job hunting is easy on Coronation Street isn't it. Leanne gets two jobs, with hours that suit, Sean gets a job in the factory 5 mins after he moves in, then when that women comes back, they suddenly have enough room to employ her as well. Sarah becomes a waitress and the next day is joined by another two. The Job Centre works fast in Weatherfield!

Ive just finnished watching it, it was a great episode, poor Raquel though.
Not long until the end of 1993 episodes now, the end of 1993 is good with Terry Duckworth being released from prison. And 1994 was good too - Tanya gets a lot more bitchy by the time she leaves in Mid 1994.
Leanne really gets on my nerves now (as does Jamie), I hope they dont keep her when her contract expires at the end of the year. Maya isnt too bad, and I like Tracey although have you noticed how much she grins all the time, id love it if Karen knocked her teeth out

Another two classic corries tonight!
The Karen and Steve storyline is great and is actually believeable!!!!!! Karen will sorely be missed from the street and I think ITV bosses should retain her. The chemistry between Steve and Karen is great and im sure there are many more great storylines awaiting the couple.
Another pat on the back for Corrie!
