how about an episode set in reality Very Happy

ITV Celebrates Coronation Street's Golden Anniversary by allowing you the viewer to direct the action. In a explosive live episode one family will be leaving the soap for good when their vehicle crashes into the river. Who lives? Who dies? YOU decide.

When will soaps learn that foreign accents are never a good thing?

Oh mi god! You seen Inside soap this week? Looks like the Street, Dales and square are in for an exciting Christmas again this year.

I wish my village was as exciting as soaplands.

Apologies for this mindlessly irreverent question but I need to win a debate with my colleagues.

I told them that Coronation Street is broadcast in Canada at 7pm on one of its major channels.

However, my mate then asked me to prove it by telling him the average viewing figures (I have weird mates) - so my question is;
How many people watch Coro in Canada

Oh, and I am looking forward to this years Christmas episode! Cool

Liz will definately be much-missed. It's a massive, massive shame what has happened to her of late, and whilst I'm sad she's leaving, I'm glad her workload has been lifted.

I had to chuckle at the statement on their website:

CORONATION STREET is on Monday-Friday at 7 p.m. on CBC. On Sundays, all five episodes from the previous week are shown again, in order , from 7:30 - 10 a.m.

Without this assurance I would've expected them to show the episodes in a random sequence - just for fun! Laughing

Thanks a lot! Ha! I'll get those b*******!

I guess, if it's being shown Monday - Friday at 7pm its quite a popular show over in Canada?
And what is the equivalent of CBC over here; BBC 1, ITV1 or...*shudder*...five?

According to Teletext, there was talk of Antony Cotton discussing a record deal with Louis Walsh.

Thank heavens that died a death!

CBC = Canadian Broadcasting Corporation which is like the BBC but funded by adverts and government funding, but no licence fee. (They even chip in with financing Doctor Who and Torchwood as well)
