Decent episode tonight. So Maria is going to have an abortion - Liam didnt take much persuading to go along with that did he. I dont think he is thinking about Maria and the baby at all - all that seems to be on his mind is Carla and Tony.

I hope this stuff with Reet/Doreen/Norris is over now. Its getting silly and Reet is worthy of a better storyline than this. I dont agree that Emily should go - you need characters like her in Corrie. I think Boreen should go though.

The scenes in the restaurant werent that good with the waiter interrupting Liz and Steve all the time. Nice to see Liz's reaction to Jim being free though.

Nice to have a break from the other 2 major storylines - Sarah/David and John/Rosie.

Can she arrange a suicide pact with Ken?

Emily has been notably in the show alot less than usual this year - must be less kids on the street in need of babysitting or something!

I found the resturant scenes annoying, with the waiter that kept popping up. I don't like this Carla / Liam business.

Jim isn't going to have many storylines if he isn't allowed on the street is he!

He hasn't met any of the street's residents yet. I wonder who would actually know him thesedays. There's probably only Kevin who he could have a pint with, and Steve of course

Not forgetting Bill Webster - he was mates with Jim during the mid 1990s when Bill was in the show. Be interesting to see if the writers remember.

lets see, based on who was around in 2001 when he was first banged up and with the obvious exception of Liz and Steve

The Barlow, who are now of course related through Amy
Emily, Noris
Kirk
Jack and Vera
Tyrone
Eileen
Kevin and Sally,
Dev?
Audery
Fiz and Maria
Clare, Ashley and Joshua (whom he rescued from their boat whilst trying to escape)
Gail
Roy and Hailey

think that's it.
(by the way, you did ask Wink )

It's extra character overload in Corrie at the moment, Jim is back (so he is), the two new bookies and now Audrey's Stephen is returning.

In other news, Jim gave us a "catch yourself on" tonight and the Salon has had a makeover over night.

Yes. Surely there's another way to mask that edge of the set? That fake picture behind the viaduct just looks so.. "fake".

The new bookies are supposed to be father and son aren't they, not brothers. The "son" seems to look to old and the "father" too young.

Jack Ellis (Harry) is 52, Matthew Crompton (Dan) is 36 apparently. It would make him 16 when he was born, so plausible.

It's certainly more plausible than Gail (1951) and Audrey (1943).

Is everyone going to refer to the new bookie as "Jim Fenner" just like they do constantly with Sinbad?
