Christmas Day 8pm - 9pm
It’s Christmas Day and as Sally busily prepares for the family lunch, Rosie sneaks out to meet John who has lied to Fiz that he needs to buy nutmeg for the Christmas dinner. Upon meeting a panicked John, Rosie demands to know what the score is with Fiz, as she wants a proper relationship and she wants him to dump Fiz asap.

Back on the street, Fiz is excited about spending the day with her perfect man and hasn’t been able to resist the temptation of opening her presents but is baffled when she unwraps some sexy lingerie meant for a petite woman, who she instantly assumes is Sally. Storming over the road she thrusts the gift at a puzzled Sally claiming that its proof she's having an affair with her boyfriend. Meanwhile, when Rosie opens her present and finds a large pair of frumpy flannelette pyjamas, John’s horrified as it dawns on him he’s given Rosie Fiz’s present and left Rosie’s at home with Fiz.

Flustered, he races back to the flat, practically throwing Rosie out of the car, but in the Webster's, the two women begin throwing the underwear back and forth as Fiz continues to accuse and Sally continues to deny the allegation. When Rosie arrives home clutching the pyjamas that were meant for Fiz, there’s an awful silence as it dawns on everyone who the sexy underwear was meant for. Kevin is fuming and storms out of the house followed by Rosie and a devastated Fiz. When John appears, Kevin dismisses his excuses and instantly knocks him to the ground and continues to pummel him.

Bill manages to pull Kevin off him and Sally drags Rosie home, while distraught Fiz leaves John lying on the ground and seeks comfort in Chesney and Kirk (Andrew Whyment). Back at the Websters', everyone’s in shock that the affair has been going on under their noses and are stunned when the police arrive to arrest Kevin for assault. Sally’s left alone amidst the debris of a ruined Christmas day, but it’s not just Christmas that’s been ruined. Will Kevin start the new year behind bars? And will Fiz ever forgive John?

Over at the Rovers, Michelle is determined to stay cheerful and tries to enjoy Christmas day for Ryan’s sake. However, Steve and Liam can see through her overly happy façade and although she claims she’s fine, she’s clearly suffering. Will Michelle be able to go through with the DNA test?

David’s Christmas presents do nothing to alleviate his sense of injustice while Sarah desperately tries to convince Jason that moving to Italy is a great idea. Seeing how important it is to her Jason finally agrees to make the move. Sarah’s ecstatic and immediately tells Stephen but agrees to keep it a secret for the sake of a peaceful Christmas Day. How will David feel when he finds out that Sarah’s hijacked his trip out of Weatherfield?

At Roy's Rolls, Roy has to face the festive season without Hayley and spends the day with Becky Kirk and Chesney who make a distatrous attempt at cooking Christmas dinner and turn Roy's Rolls into their very own winter wonderland.

I dont want to post every episode over the xmas period as i dont think it serves any purpose, but anyone interested in the key xmas episode, there it is.

Thanks for that Shaun.

Can you confirm all the Christmas/New Year episode days and times? That'd be great. Looks like Corrie is definitely at 8pm then, EastEnders will have to move.

With Christmas Day and New Years Day on Tuesdays this year you can bet we will get a 1 hour special on both those days as well as the usual 5 episodes per week - well thats what the provisional tv guides said anyway. I just about remember the days when they didnt show an episode of the Corrie on Christmas Day unless it fell on a day when it normally aired which was just Mon/Wed until 1989 so the chances were slim.

That sounds like a good episode however

You would think if you had 2 girlfriends on the go you would make especially sure you didnt mix their Christmas presents up! Wink

No episode on New Year's Day? That can't be right.

I thought that was strange, but thats all i can see in front of me. Emmerdale is on (when are they not Razz ) , but as with all things like this it can change, though i doubt it as the programme numbers are in order. Ep 6721 (Mon 31st 8.30pm), Ep 6722 (Wed 2nd Jan 7.30pm)

Personally I prefer to wait for the Radio Times to come out next weekend. It spoils it if you already know half the schedule

How odd. The provisionals have an episode down for New Year's Day at 8pm.

Well it is a Tuesday and not Corrie's usual day. It seems its only Christmas Day that gets an extra episode when it falls on a non Corrie day Wink

Tuesday 11th December you mean! And yes I agree, it does spoil it when we know the schedules already.

Here's a thought ........ is it about time to 'call time' on 'I'll have a sweet sherry Emily? She serves absolutely no part in the show apart from shopping scenes at Rita's or the Corner Shop - or the cringeworthy 'Last of the Summer Wine' scenarios that inolve the Streets Compo Clegg and Foggy - namely Norris, Rita and the Bishop! oh with Noreen as Nora Batty!
