I was going to ask who this hitherto unknown Director was....

That just looks weird for some reason, like it's a spoof episode. Laughing I wonder who is 'Illy' is Wink

I was hoping all would be revealed at the end of episode 2, but unfortunately the director isn't shown in the end credits.

Illy apparently is a real director!

They stopped giving the director and writer a credit on the closing titles a while ago as they are now on the opening credits.

I was thinking that it wasn't impossible for them to be real - after all, David Tennant is not David McDonald's real name...

Did anyone notice the utter bodge up on the writer and director credits today in ep 1?

The writer was "JulieJones"

The director was "Illy"

Funny.

The audio description said 'illy' too. I assume they would have checked so Illy is probably correct.

Hopefully Jack Ellis should be a good acquisition for Corrie, as long as we can see beyond Jim Fenner.

Thanks for that link. I maybe wrong, but it looks as though Matthew Crompton has lost a bit of weight? Yeah I was wondering about the the 'ghost of Jim Fenner' too, hope they don't make his Coro character a carbon copy.

And they never did write out Tony Slattery's character out properly did they, perhaps it will be explained why Eric sold the bookies.

In my soap magazine today there were pictures of Michelle's real son who is apparently the spitting image of Michelle's dead boyfriend Dean so when she sees him she is in no doubt he's her son.

I think this could be an interesting storyline for Corrie to tackle, lets hope they do it well.

don't think a soap has tackled this one before

Sounds a tedious and unrealistic storyline to me.

Sounds about right. And knowing Corrie, there is no way it'll be done well - especially not with Kym "mediocre actress at the best of times" Ryder at the helm.

I still find it astonishing that a superb character like Becky has not been given a proper storyline.

You're sounding like Elton John in a huff. Wink
