good point, the corner shop has a mystery extention to the rear which suddenly appeared but isn't on the outdoor set when we see the Webster's yard?
do set designers have no sence of structual logic in that the internal layout has to fit the external layout, the'll be parking a bus in daryl's shed next and hoping nobody notices.

Quite possibly the most unrealistic shop set on TV ever. The helfs are wrong, and the products are dumped all over the place. The most realistic and successful shop was Alf Roberts's one in the mid-80s which formed the basis of the shop until the fire.
What happened to all of Dev's other shops, they never get mentioned.

Considering what happened to the Corner Shop after it's refurbishment after the fire, I think they should leave it how it is

Yep. Audrey asked Ashley to move in with her as he was sleeping on the Websters sofa.

I agree. I liked the set for Alf's shop after the 1985 refurbishment - that was a realistic shop set.

probably true if you look at the whole history from 1902
here's who I can remember dieing in the actual houses / premises on the street
maxine at the peacocks (4), and of course baby shannon from cot death
(and possibly bella because she hasn't been fed since maxine died)
alf roberts died in the Platts (
wiki's Polish friend died in the factory
tommy Harris died in Kevin's car garage
Ernest Bishop died in the old factory during a raid
somebody died in the fire in baldwins casuals in 1975
Val Barlow died in the massonettes
Ena's niece died in the vestry of the glad tidings mission hall (where the kabin is now)
the corner shop had a new owner in 1993 who died in the shop
may hardman died in number 13 in 1960
somebody was murded in number 9 when Len lived there.
Albert Tatlock died in number 1, I think.
Martha Longhurst died in the rovers in 1964 as did ray langton 31 years later
that is all I can think of for now. (it's enough isn't it)
just seen a preview of the new owners of the bookies and the set is on the outside lot

Ah yes, the bookies. What's the "betting" the new boss won't simply be Jim Fenner by another name?
