The writers probably forgot. They seem to forget about a lot of things these days. Rolling Eyes

Well wasn't really relevant to the rest of the storyline was it ? He was only introduced as a plot device. The focus of that storyline was on the Platt's not on Darryl or his mate.

A lot of stuff that goes on in soapworld is either implied or happens off screen.

I was just starting to warm to Jodie so its a shame she is off.

I wish she'd take the rest of that pointless family with her. Can't she blow up the house with them all inside. With a bit of luck she could take out the Peacocks' house aswell.

Oh wouldn't that be perfect? Throw Sean in there as well and we might get back a once brilliant show.

I dont have a problem with the Mortens - I dont like the grandfather or Kayleigh but we hardly ever see them and I did dislike Jodie but she is ok now and she is going anyway. I quite like Darryl and Mel.

Im not keen on Sean but his boyfriend Marcus is far more irritating at the moment IMO.

There's Finlay as well remember!

I think Sinbad, Darryl and Mel are ok. Kayleigh hasn't really done much but could interact with Sophie and Chesney as they are around the same age

If David ever settles down, him and Darryl could be the new Steve McDonald and sidekick type of characters

I don't like the Grandad but he only appears about once a quarter so it isn't a big deal

Arrow Jerry is a bad comedy foil to Eileen (works better with Steve)
Arrow Darryl is a pointless "mate" for David (and happens to be the actor's best mate)
Arrow Kayleigh/Mel who??? have they had more than 2 lines yet

Best to remove the family entirely. If Sinbad/Jerry gets any bigger he will need to expand into the Peacocks' house just for himself anyway!

I agree. The same with Finlay - he doesnt really do enough for me to have an opinion either way so doesnt bother me! He's about the same age as Bethany isnt he and only quite recently has she had any lines.

I didnt like Jodie until this current storyline but I feel sorry for her now always being landed with working in the shop and looking after the kids - like she said in Friday's episode its like she's married to her dad!

It'll take slightly more than a cast cull to sort things out completely.

Are you joking? I have this unusual urge to ram his head through a brick wall every Corrie night - the faces he pulls are annoying and his character is pointless. Evil or Very Mad
