Get out..go on...oooh shut that door! Wink

Laughing Look at the muck in here, he's anyone for a doughnut etc. Slack Alice and Everard recurring...

Tim the vet wasn't a "screamer" if memory serves, nor was Sean's ex who was the owner of Shandy (although said dog's funeral was camp as Butlins).

I had a long chat with Roy Barraclough in Nottingham once (2004), after a chance meeting. A thoroughly nice bloke, very approachable. He said he would never return to the Street, "the long hours are too much at my age". Shame really-- I could see Alec running the Corner Shop!

I agree the Tardis-like quality is daft to these houses, highlighted when all the Barlows lived there last year. Maybe they have secret underground rooms we don't know about-- where they keep their cars too Wink

Now you come to mention it, it would be nice seeing Alec managing the shop... with Rita popping in and out... I can just picture it now. Laughing

That's true. I also thought the same about Marcus at first but he's been getting camper by the episode - Antony Cotton seems to be giving him acting tips. Rolling Eyes

Yes all of the houses on the Rovers side of the Street have 2 bedrooms. However the houses on the otherside of the street may have 3, the Platt's definately does as it has a bedroom above the garage.

So the Duckworths must be using their front room for Paul. However, some of the houses on the "Rovers" side have kitchen extensions which could be 2-storey and allow for a third bedroom upstairs.

the kitchen extentions on the terrace houses are all single storey

A nice tribute to Corrie on the BAFTA Birthday show tonight. No doubt it'll be on YouTube later on.

I enjoyed that, although Stan was dead by the time Kevin went to lodge with Hilda, so they got that wrong.

Also Barbara only did one episode as Rita Littlewood in 1964 - she joined the cast permanently in 1972 - still nice to see her make an appearance. Smile

Ashley and Clare's appearance last night reminded me how tedious they are!

What's the storyline there - I'd forgot they'd split up and to some extent I think so have the writers.

It seems obvious they've only been split up so they can be put back together.

Indeed, I was only thinking the other day that their complete irrelevance to the programme meant I couldn't remember when they had last appeared. Then my worst fears were realised with a few pointless scenes used to pad out an episode.

I was hoping that they would have a dramatic (off-screen) reconciliation and make the decision to have a new start in "a galaxy far far away" Wink

didn't think much of the white poppy slagging off in last night's episode between Lloyd and Emily.

made it sound like an advert for the poppy appeal

and why does nearly every adult in soaps have a poppy, I know several people who don't wear one

I assumed all that was leading up to Jodie walking in wearing a white poppy - but alas she had none!

Anyway, she's gone this week and I don't think she'll be missed - which is a shame really as she's done quite well with the rather weak Lloyd/Jodie storyline.

I don't see the point in keeping the rest of them really - Sinbad is the only character in anyway used, and all we've learnt about the rest is that Darryl lives in the shed.
