They pathetically killed Fred off purely out of spite. The actor had said unfavourable (but true) things about the show and the producers didn't like it.

I see that on Teletext the absence of Martin Platt from tonight's wedding has been noticed. Sean Wilson is another one who, though not killed off, got the bullet for refusing to go along with a proposed storyline, so his non-presence in a way was to be expected. It says a lot of the producers' abilities if a bruised ego clouds their judgement in doing what's best for the show (and killing Fred clearly wasn't).

I am really looking forward to tonight's hour long episode. Should be brilliant! Let's hope they pull it off.

Sorry if this is a dumb question:
How does David manage to get on the roof of the factory? I presume there must be a ladder on the side of the factory or something?

So far so good.

The scene with Gail listening to the phone message was quite moving.

Leanne's Restaurant seems to be the only place to eat now - any date, birthday, family night out and now wedding books for a meal - she must be raking it in.

Mind you makes a change one of Betty's Buffets at the Rovers.

Or Roy's Rolls! There used to be Delphines and The Clock, they're not mentioned anymore.

Was I the only one who felt sorry for Sarah at the end of the episode? I think she's the only one who can see how twisted he truly is.

Good episode - poor Sarah - I could slap both David and Gail!

Oooo the little swine!
Or is this another front just for his Sister? Double bluff?

How annoying are both characters - what has Gail done to deserve those two.

A few soap awards for Gail in that episode?

Me too - poor Sarah - he wedding day ruined and she gets the blame.

Excellent episode though - I agree that it was moving when Gail heard the answerphone message.

That was a fantastic episdode. I loved the dramatic pans + crane shots.

Oh and the use of 'You and Me' as David drove into the water. Remember Richard Hilman playing this as he tried to kill them all?!

Superb. A real good mix of emotions. Loved it!

An excellent episode tonight - loved how it all focussed on the wedding. Some brilliant camerawork and shots tonight, I loved the use of Take That at the start and of course You and Me with the canal scene.

Some incredible acting from Helen Worth especially but it was very good all round.

Top stuff. Loved the scene with David and Sarah at the end where a look from him said it all, and then the dramatic shot up to the window.
