Someone uploading a clip of the ECP onto You Tube obviously lead me into looking at other old clips of Corrie credits from years gone by

People talk about not being able to read credits thesedays, but look at these from 1998

They moved at quite a speed so they aren't much better even then

wow they were too fast, not on before the Queen were they.

interesting to see in the credits the original children playing Sarah, David, Rosie and Sophie

talking of Sarah and David, funny to see them both using the postal service in the middle of a national postal strike Laughing

Finally Corrie has it's own credits - we just may never get to see them in full.

It seems UTV showed them in full last night. StevieB has rather kindly uploaded the images in the ITV ECP thread... (in case you hadn't seen 'em already!)

Those old credits were much better as although they are quite quick at least there is no ECP and you can read the credits.

I loved those original Cadbury sponsorship adverts, far better than the later ones.

Am I alone in not liking the new ITV ECP?

First squashng and squeezing, then minimising, now they are so microscopic they aren't worth seeing. I already Sky+ everything on commercial channels to avoid the adverts. The ECPs are pointless to me as I will have missed whatever they are promoting. I'll just turn over as the credits start now instead.

I've got mixed feelings. The return of a programme-related background is extremely welcome. The last two blue end-credit formats just didn't suit Corrie in the slightest.

However, I completely agree on the size of the text.

Was that the Granada/Littlewoods shopping channel Shop! that Cilla was watching? The same Shop! that closed down in 2002?

I'm sure that was QVC's Anthony Heyward in that.

That would make sense, he was on Shop!

Ive got mixed feelings on these as well. But it is good to have Corrie related end credits back and not some random blue ones.

Except of course that he won't receive the invitation until 2 weeks after the wedding because of the postal backlog.

Unless of course Corrie isn't real Confused
