I thought Frescos became Firman's Freezers

It was the other way around.

I enjoyed tonights first episode, the 2nd wasnt as good. Nice to see the Duckworths in quite a few scenes though.

It was ASDA tonight, you could see the green signs in the background.

we haven't seen in frescos since the seize in 2001.

daft with Tyone, like they would trust somebody who's been there a month over somebody who's lived with them for 12 years.

why didn't Paul just say he borrowed the money to restock the restaurant Confused

it's just a daft way of getting Tyone caught

The return of "Frescos", I wonder if Reg Holdsworth will appear and is it the same Supermarket being used.?.

Yeah, that was interesting. I thought Frescos became Firman's Freezers-- or was it the other way round? The store they used in Reg Holdsworth's day was in Eccles if I recall, not sure who it belonged to in real life (possibly Asda?).

At one point Freshcos was a Gateway (became Somerfield) store - I worked part-time in one at the time so recognised all the shelf labels etc.

Of course it all started with Betterbuy's which was shot on Sundays in a Morrisons store. When Sunday trading began, they had to change locations, and so Betterbuy's became Firman's Freezers, which then became Freshco.

Incidentally, am I the only one who thinks those Freshco carrier bags are unrealistically heavy-duty for a supermarket?

Yeah, it does seem a bit contrived. Paul could have said that, but I don't think he asked the Duckworths before he took the cash did he? Confused Then again when pressed by Molly and Tyrone tonight, he could have flatly denied all knowledge to further implicate Tyrone.

Perhaps Jack and Vera refuse to think ill of Paul, since he is a blood relation, and he hasn't done anything to upset them otherwise. Perhaps they don't trust Tyrone in this instance, since he has been acting 'weird' in Paul's presence.

Doesn't make sense to me either way!

Vera is known for always thinking her own flesh and blood is up to no wrong, remember Terry

Anyway good to see Vera on a lot of episodes this week

Looking at Sarah and David, are we supposed to feel sorry for David and dislike Sarah?

You would think though after all Terry has put them through she would learn by now not to be so trusting. Especially as her and Jack consider Tyrone to be their son and they hardly know Paul.

On Monday, I was out on a McDonalds carpark when I saw a Harveys van and was surprised it allready had 'Sponsors of Coronation Street' on it.

Does anyone else think the voiceover on the sponsor credits sounds more like they're saying "Harvester Furniture Store"?

Oh, and I heard on the radio this morning that Jim McDonald is rumoured to be coming back to Corrie, so he is. What's the betting it's to coincide with 'lizabuth's marriage to Vernon at New Year?
