Last night's average drug episodes got brilliant ratings:

7.30
10m
46%

8.30
10.2m
42%

Impressive - shame the episodes lacked gravitas.

The latest pathetic ALLEGED upcoming plot:
Rosie is to embark on an affair with John apparently, but at the same time, Sally is to be infatuated with him. It will be 'explosive'.

Impressive ratings indeed. I really enjoyed the episodes, I thought they were very well done and the acting was good from all concerned.

Im not so keen on this storyline with Rosie and John though - I thought it was Liam she was going to have a crush on?

Good episodes last night and good to see they got high ratings. A rare event that more people tuned in at 8.30, normally a few forget to come back!

Yes, but imagine how gutted Granada would've felt 15 years ago if you told them that in the future they would be ecstatic at getting 10m an episode for Corrie!

Yes a regular episode would have attracted about double that in those days.

Good point! Laughing However it's the same with all main programmes these days; I think multi-channel digital TV and the internet have been the main factors in that.

Yes but I was just as annoyed as you when I saw it. Also barely 2 seconds into the end credits they are advertising it as well.

No sponsorship again tonight.

Excellent episode though - loved the scenes with the Platts throughout the episode especially Gail confronting Darryl.

David obviously doesn't have much stuff as the bag sounded incredibly light when Gail dropped it at the bottom of the stairs. Nice to see another side to David though and an appearance from Wiki*. I'm glad that's the end of Trudi, Posh Cleaner and the Egg-Couple, although if Harvey's is the new sponsor I'm sure their stings will be just as annoying, judging by their ads.

* That's how Wikipedia spells it anyway, she's not on the ITV.com castlist, so couldn't I check it.

This DS article spells it "Vicki". Anyone fancy watching the credits on one of the repeats to confirm the correct spelling. Rolling Eyes

I think cadbury's salmonella case has gone to court which might explain the lack of sponsorship
