Coro doesn't sound right to me - I've always called it Corrie. I think that's the one most people use and the one that the ITV announcers use from time to time.

Dull episode tonight I have to say. Apart from the Hayley storyline of course. Becky is wonderful as well.

Of course a minority of person choose to refer to it as IS1, Corrie being the most popular I TV S oap.

Funny how Becky has gone from being vile to being highly likeable in such a short time. Corrie / Corry / Corro does have a habit of doing that.

Incidentally I've got a friend who calls it 'Correr'... and he works for ITV.

Coro, Corrie same difference. I hear the two names in equal measure personally. I prefer "Coro" myself, since it is exactly short for Coro nation. Any road....

Becky left the programme for a little while didn't she? That's when she changed I think (along with change of producer!). If I recall she re-entered the programme as a pupil in Hayley's adult literacy class at the prison.

So I think the combination of prison and Roy & "Hayles's" influence have calmed her down. After the roasting she got after Slug "borrowed" Hayley's car with the aid of Becky, I don't think she'd hack Roy and Hayley off again!

How ridiculous was that scene with Roy 'changing' the lightbulbs for CFL equivalents. Not only was it so inaccurate as to be presposterous, but the director barely even bothered to conceal the charade: Roy went out of his way to ensure the bulb was concealed from the camera, and even then you could clearly observe the clear traditional bulb in his hand.

It was made all the more unbelievable by the fact that a) bulky CFL bulbs would patently appear over the tiny shades of those fittings, b) it barely took two seconds to 'change' the bulb while hardly even looking, and c) the bulb turned straight on without heating up or flickering.

Hate how Corrie glosses over practical matters when it suits it.

I agree that Becky is a far better character now she is nicer. I liked the recent scenes between her and Hayley.

Anyone notice we had no sponsorship in tonights episodes?

I really like Becky's character now. It has been good to see her grow.
I take it Cadbury's contract has now ran out. The end of an era.

I noticed that to, was there a sponsor yesterday shown?

The corrie site doesn't have a sponsor on either - have they even got 1 anymore? Confused

Yes there was. Maybe Cadbury's didn't want to sponsor tonight's highly charged episodes

I think Trudy has been sacked for always standing in shot and never turning the lights on fast enough Laughing

Laughing

Harvey's takes over the sponsorship in a month or so (or at least that's what it says on Wikipedia).

I find the sponsorship scene with the cleaning lady stupid when the two blokes come though the door fighting and she's just sat there saying, oh sorry are we filming. Rolling Eyes

now I don't know that much about tv production but I hazard a guess they are not going to shoot a scene when some dippy lady is sitting on the set noctulantly scoffing chocolate, and nobody notices her until the camera is on her

at least 'Trudi' walking into shot can happen, and does happen.
