I haven't seen the soaps for a while and sat down to watch Corrie and Eastenders last night.
Coronation Street is by far a superior watch. Its production values and writing are excellent - as yesterday's episodes proved.
Eastenders on the other hand is literally unbelievable. I'm presuming the "fat girl who eats lots" story line is an attempt at humour. The acting was awful and the scripting was abysmal. I'm certainly glad I get more for my licence fee than this dire offering.

Suddenly a nutter?!! He's been like that for a long while IMO... I think the rooftop scene was just a vocalisation of what he's been thinking all this years!! It's a shame Sinbad (sorry Jerry) didn't deck him as threatened.
I agree about the camera work, gave a good sense of height and drama. Nice view of the Industry & Technology Museum (sic?) as well.

Tonights episodes were great! Awesome camera work at the end, and its amazing to see how Davids suddenly a nutter! Great views of the street, amuzing to see the viaduct just stopping though!

I thoroughly enjoyed last nights episodes. I watched the end of the second one a couple of times because Jack P Shepherd plays his character so well.
The rooftop scenes were seriously spooky and very believable in view of what has happened to him over the last few years. After mimicking shooting his mother, the rather manic look on his face when suddenly announcing that he didn't want to be "late for his tea" was enough to send a shiver down the spine of any sane viewer!
Excellent!

Corrie was on top form last night.
Even liking Cilla's scenes with the old codger in the home, there were some great one liners. I wonder at what point Les will ever get mentioned again ? I know people don't like Cilla's character, but I'll be sorry to see her leave.
Anyone notice the newspaper the old guy in the old folks home was reading, "The Daily Pulse"

Haha that would be excellent if that happens, be interesting to see if they could pull it off.

I didn't read the spoiler, but I have loaded the last 10 mins of last night's 2nd episode onto YouTube because I think it was so good!
