Notice we had Vera in tonights episode but only over a voice over on the baby monitor thing.

Now we know Liz is leaving Corrie we will have to make the most of Vera's rare appearances.

Yep, nice to hear Vera in tonight's episode... corrie.net says that she married Jack in April or August 1957. I presume their golden wedding anniversary is going to be shown on screen later this month?

apparently they have filmed the Duckworths golden wedding anniversary.

back to the confusion aspect of the peacocks I would not be surprised if a first floor suddenly appears over the extention part with the front door in?

I quite enjoyed the Steve and Eileen scenes in Malta. Quite cheesy and inconsequential, but they're two of my favourite characters and always work well together. Some nice moments.

interesting how they actually filmed in Malta yet the didn't film Rita and Noris in Budapest back in March

I was thinking that... Perhaps Noris and Rita didn't have an interesting time Didn't Reet injure herself or something if I recall?

Yes, she got deep vein thrombosis.. which led to Norris buying her some comfortable shoes as a present or something like that - "Norris - you've put me in kid's pumps! I'll kill him..."

Yes there is some confusion as to what month their anniversary is. On the 1980s DVD's they had an episode where their 28th wedding anniversary was mentioned and that episode was broadcast in April 1985. However when they went to Las Vegas for their 40th anniversary im sure it was towards the end of the year (1997)



Norris supposedly caused Reet's accident by knocking her over whilst he rushed to get a bread roll It was all stupid and just an excuse to explain Barbara's absence. I did enjoy Reet's reaction to the shoe's Norris got for her on her return

perhaps the Budapest trip was a way of writing Barbara out, or the were not allowed to film there. I went the same month, it's a nice place to go but beware of the killer pedestrian crossings where the you have right of way to cross the road at the same time as vehicles turning out of junctions
