Every episode of Corrie still exists, believe it or not. Daran Little told me in an e-mail, you can buy any episode you want for £15 by writing to David Nugent (and sending a cheque) at Granada, also giving the original transmission date - obviously.

Thinking about it, I might have been confusing it with Crossroads who had a lot wiped (I think!!).

By the way, do you happen to know what format they supply the episodes on? Are we talking VHS here or can they run to DVD? I'd love a copy of the Bet, Betty and Fred in the Rover in the lake episode. Probably my all time favourite episode. Very Happy

That episode is on the 1983 year video, the set they released in the early 1990s to celebrate 30 years of Corrie. Im not sure if you could buy the video now, but you might be able to get it from somewhere like HMV or order online.

They are on VHS tape, if you want the episodes, they were broadcast on 2 and 4 May 1983 - the 2 May one is at the end when it rolls in the lake, the 4 May ep is the one where Fred gets them out, plonking Bet down in the "cow plop". Funny stuff Laughing

Both together, they should cost £30 or thereabouts, as each ep costs £15 each, like I said earlier. Hope this info helps.

I spoke to the Duty Officer at Granada only last week and he didn't say you could buy every episode, I was asking about old classics.

I mean individual episodes, every episode DOES exist, albeit the original sixties episodes have the "from the North Granada" frontcap replaced by the 1968 G-arrow logo, edited on all episodes pre-1969 in 1970. You can buy any episode, I asked about old episodes and where you could get them individually - the Ena Sharples V Elsie Tanner episodes in 1965, they exist (transmitted 27 January 1965, BTW)

I've only seen on repeats, the black & whites with the G logo & 'Granada Television International' caption.

Are these the only existing copies ?

Yes, I believe they are, it's as if Granada doesn't want anyone to see the inverted dipole and the "from the North" tagline, for some reason.

What did everyone think of Warren Baldwin? I thought he looked way younger than 17, quite cute though.

I still cannot stand the other baldwin son, how they can describe him as a hunk is beyond me.

Not a bad episode tonight - I liked it when Maya lost it and smashed up the flat at the end.

Yes, I *GASPED* at the moment she smashed in that rather nice looking TV. I mean, by all mean trash the vases, the table, the shelves but the TV ? - now that is sacrilege.

Oh and just when did the Baldwins decorate the house with that shocking wallpaper ? Did I miss that episode ? And since when, was the dining room table that close to the front door in that house, what happened to the entrance hall ?

well if you only look at his chest like what I do,

Anyhow, I presume you shall be buying the forthcoming ITV Soap Hunks calendar. It's prob been metioned but If you think someone as important as me is trawling through this thread you're sadly mistaken.

This sounds an entertaining storyline :

Many fans will know that Coronation Street's Rita Sullivan had a long career as a nightclub crooner, but the Street faithful will be shocked to learn she can also swing.

In a new plotline the mistress of the Kabin will end up attending a swingers party. Rita, played by Barbara Knox, along with sidekick Norris Cole attend a gathering held by Rita's old friend Rula Romanoff in all innocence. But the corner shop boss realises things are not all they seem when she awakes to find Rula's husband in bed with her. Rita responds by confronting Rula, played by former Bond girl Honor Blackman, 77, only to find her in the middle of seducing naughty Norris (Malcolm Hebden). "Get dressed, Norris - we're leaving now!" Rita barks at her timid colleague.

Corrie insiders believe they have a winner on their hands. "This episode will be belly laughs all the way," a Street insider told the Daily Mirror. The soap source explains that things begin with a quite normal dinner party, but get naughty after the guests head off to bed. "It's not long before the doors start opening and different people head off to different rooms," the insider explains. "Norris peeps his head around his door to see what the noises are and plucks up courage to put his ear against Rula's door. "She opens it and he falls in, flat on the floor. Rula thinks he's come for just one thing. "She starts unfastening his pyjamas and tells him, 'I like a man who takes the initiative. Would you prefer to play the menial role or do you want to do it in the executive position?'"

Rula's husband Bernie (played by Duggie Brown - the real-life brother of ex-Street actress Lynn Perrie) makes a beeline for Rita's room, where he ditches his clothes and sneaks under the covers while she sleeps. When Rita wakes she storms off to find out what her friend's husband is doing, but Rula thinks Rita is there to join in the fun with Norris. "Come in Rita, two's company but three's perfection," she will say.

Ive seen his chest and im not keen, I remember he was in Family Affairs too and I thought he was nothing special to look at then, but since he has moved to Corrie they have made him out to be a hunk *just* because he is in Corrie, regardless of whether he is actually good looking or not.

Ive seen Warren shirtless in a magazine and he had a fit body, shame he looked about 15 when he was on screen tonight.

I had heard about the soap hunks calender, I certainly wont be buying it if the list of so called "hunks" Soaplife magazine came up with is anything to go by.

I was wondering the same thing!
