Not a great loss but out of all the Mortons she's the one that had most potential, although the scene with her in the Rovers talking about how pointless her (dreadful) hair cut was was, well, pointless...
One Morton down... how many more to go?
I'm worried.... I'm begining to like Vernon...
I thought the same thing - why should we care about her new hair.
Ive never warmed to the character at all so im glad she is going. The rest of the Morton's (apart from the Grandad) I do not mind, however I wouldnt say id be gutted if any of them went.
I'm with you. Sinbad and Grandad have staying power. I quite like watching Grandad Morton winding up Blanche. I can also see Eileen ans Sinbad getting it on. The rest of the clan are a bit Blah.

Not seen Corrie in ages but it is funny to read posts on here still calling Michael Starkie by his Brookie name of Sinbad - will that tag ever leave him??? I somehow don't think so!!!

Well Michael Starke plays the same role in what I've seen him in
Ken Hopkirk in
The Royal
and Jerry Morton are apples that haven't fallen far from the Sinbad tree!!
I didn't like Grandad at first, but I agree good scope as a foil to Blanche-- about time someone got back at her properly.
Daryl I'm not sure about, but all the other Morton kids-- what use are they? I haven't seen the youngest Morton again either? Jerry certainly has character to stay in the show I think, despite being Sinbad Mk III

Vernon has been given a 1 year contract, apparently he is "loved", same for the actress that plays Becky.

Joanne isnt that funny and to me seems just a filler character. However Vernon, and Becky, have had some corker lines in recent episodes. IMO they both appeal to me a lot more than the drab Joanne.

Good question. I suppose it's a mixture of viewer appreciation of characters, and how much the actors get on with the bosses.
