I'm finding the Sean and Violet storyline slightly disturbing for some reason and I don't know why.
What if it were Violet and Jamie - would you be disturbed then?
Now, trying to make me come across as homophobic is not what I'm getting at but in my opinion an openly gay guy such as Sean sleeping with a straight woman just because she wants a child is just not right. Thats my opinion and I have to agree with pad that its a poor storyline.

But putting aside the fact he is gay, he wouldnt want to sleep with Violet anyway, like he said himself she is like a sister to him.

I agree Jez - and the way it played out in tonight's episodes prooved that. I think it's a good storyline, at the moment done in a light-hearted way - but I think there will be anguish ahead for Violet - and Sean, after all, this is a reaction to losing her baby just months ago, that plot had to be worth more than a couple of Monday 8pm cliff-hangers...
It was contrived and not in the least bit funny. Tonight's episode was funny.
Opinion.
Im not being funny but maybe you should stick to watching Eastenders then if you arent happy with Corrie. You are a fan of that arent you as were you the opening poster in the old EE thread?
"Ah go f*** yourself" - not my words, but the words that David must be thinking right now in his head
Could have said the same to him and pad when they were having a go at me but I didnt.
No, I'm sorry Jez. I take umbrage at what you've said. I have a lot of respect for you so I'm surprised that you think a difference of opinion is 'me having a go at you'. I can't speak for pad but I've thought our debates were nothing more than that. No hard feelings on my part. Yes, I may occasionally mention your name when commenting on the show (actually, I've only done it once) but it's all in good humour. I'd rather you privately messaged me if you didn't like it. Your 'opinion' comment was unnecessary - I think most people realised that it was my opinion. And as for your EastEnders remark - yes I do watch it, but I'd hardly call myself a fan. I'm more of a fan of Corrie than I'll ever be of EastEnders. When EastEnders is awful I don't give a damn - when Corrie is awful I feel quite passionate about it because I know how good it can be. Surely that tells you something?

Well ive been in that same boat before. People by all means can question my opinion, but to personally attack someone because of there opinion is a bit sad.
Who have I personally attacked? This seems more like an attack on me.
Anyway.....
Tonight's episodes were not bad although I'm not really enjoying this Sean/Violet storyline.

Well I posted a comment saying Steve Frost had produced the episode so it couldnt possibly be bad with a after it in response to your comment that Jonathan Harvey could never write a bad episode - it was meant in good humour hence the smiley. However you replied saying you must have been watching a different show to me these past few months. Im sorry but I didnt like that comment. its as if you dont like me saying that Corrie (IMO) is good at the moment and my opinion counts for nothing. Why wont people let me have my own opinion, ive never once made others feel like they are in the wrong for having an opinion. I was surprised as well because we have always got on ok and I respect you too, I wasnt surprised at pad because we have never got on.
My EE comment, I apologise for that. My point was you were once the opening poster on the EE thread so must be a big fan.
pad's called me "utter saddo" That IMO is a personal attack and was totally uncalled for.

These things DO go on, more than people think...
I thought both episodes were pretty good ones.
I agree, the storyline is realistic. Someone close to me lost a baby and I know how upsetting it can be for all concerned. Even people who dont want children, if they end up losing one then it can totally change their lives and all they want is another baby.
Anyway, there is a Sally special in this weeks
TV TImes
because she is 40. Im a huge Sally fan so look forward to reading that, even though she was such a bitch last night.
There are also pics of Corrie's new hunk Paul Clayton.
I've just found the Violet / Sean scenes quite funny - typical Corrie way of handling it really. They've known each other years, I can think of a female friend of mine where, if puch came to shove, I could see myself in that situation - not blo*dy likely though!!!
If i found myself in this position with a gay boyfriend i'd personally choose the turkey baster option.

He is married. Steve finds out and tactfully tells Eileen-- but she already knows Bit of a carbon copy of the Liz storyline though? That comes to a head next week, when Liz confesses to Derek's wife Linda
