I thought that comment Martin made to Gail about her marrying a murderer was below the belt, Gail has a right to speak to Martin when he upsets her kids and he she did not ask for that comment to be thrown at her - and if I was her id have slapped him.
No I think it was justified, the way Gail and Sarah are acting you could be thinking that Katy herself slept with Todd.

Oh and I don't think Katy should leave, don't you just love that accent

One of the funniest bits of tonight's show was when we found out that in Monopoly Janice was always the old boot and all that was left for Fiz was the dog!

I think it was justified too - what has it really got to do with Gail who he goes out with? But this is at least the second time we've had a scene with Gail saying "you don't have to be there in the middle of the night when she's crying her eyes out"; is there no one co-ordinating the scripts any more?

Tonight's was better otherwise, and I agree, Frankie was much better. As for the game of Monopoly, doesn't every game always end in a row?! It's why we never play it! Also, that was a nice scene beteen Jason and Eileen, I'd like to see lots more of Eileen, she's so underused.

Fred's final scene tonight sounded as if it had been written for Ena Sharples, at least that's how he delivered the lines! It was great!

I take it the Mike Baldwin murder plot thing mentioned a while back was a hoax ?

That came from the same forum member who said that episodes were going to be extended to 45 mins, so draw your own conclusions. Wink

Hi there,
I've been bored for the past couple of days (apart from reading that Cilla is going to get her claws in poor old Fred in a few months) and produced these spoof LP covers!

Here they are, in all their cheaply produced glory, the collection starts with Hilda Ogden and Ena Sharples, more will be added. Any requests will be fulfilled. Smile

CRC 0001 - CLASSICS BY HILDA - Featuring Stan on backing vocals

CRC 0002 - ENA'S HYMNS - Featuring Minnie and Martha as back-up singers

Anyway, just for fun. Sorry about the quality.

Last night's episode seemed back on form, at least in the humour stakes. All of Les's furniture being taken to the tip was very funny - the kind of thing you can imagine happening in the old days. Especially funny was Kirk's line, "Cilla - Surprise Surprise!" which had me giggling for ages. Laughing

I was quite bored with last nights episode, although some of the Les/Cilla stuff was good.

I wasnt that bothered about Harry leaving, he has never had a major storyline.

i think her and chessney (however you spell it) should be on an ITV1 ident, that would be good Very Happy

That was the reason he was axed, pity really. One thing i respect about eastenders is that they give characters a chance, even though he wasn't initially a main character. Love Eileen as always!

Great script tonight:

Kirk: These balls are too big!
Cilla: Don't tempt me.

Well, all I can say is - Kirk, cover them up real good.

I didn't enjoy tonight's very well, the only bits that were good was the whole thing with Cilla, Les, Kirk and Jamie. Though it does help if I say I haven't watched for a week until tonight.

Though I was happy to see the Corrie Double Acts programme on ITV2 tonight, some great classic Corrie clips on there.

I wasn’t keen on tonight’s episode either, Claire/Ashley and Dev/Sunita are boring.

Talking of Classic Corrie, with the news that ITV3 is launching soon and is going to be showing Corrie, what era of Corrie would people like them to show? Ive only seen a handful of episodes pre 1976 (before Plus’s repeat run), and some people think that the era from 1970-75 was one of the worst era’s ever. So perhaps they will screen Corrie from the very start, or even from 1976 again, I would love to see those eps again they were great.

Personally, I think they should start with mid-1961 or somewhere near the beginning, as it give an idea of how things develop.
