Its good that Corrie covered the smoking ban in tonights episode but they went a bit OTT didnt they? Would all those people really go out for a fag in the backyard of the Rovers? In Wales the ban has been in force since April and everyone just goes outside the front of the pubs.

And the announcer at the end "the ban came into force in the UK today" - its came into force in Wales three months ago love. As usual Wales get forgotten about Rolling Eyes

Good episode tonight, Eileen scenes were good. Things are going well with her and Pat, which probabaly means its all going to go wrong in the near future.

And Leanne's new chef - mmmm he's a tasty dish - Liam who? Laughing

Does anybody else think the ex-owner of the restaurant seemed a bit dodgy? Even the head chef seemed shifty - I reckon this will end in disaster for Leanne, unfortunately.

Good episode tonight (it was a Jonathan Harvey so it was never going to be bad). I even found Sean tolerable. It's still lacking in plot though and none of the other writers (apart from Fay) seem to have the skill of creating a good episode out of the bear minimum (as the terrible Julie Jones proved with possibly the worst episode of the year on Friday).

And it was produced by Steve Frost so never going to be bad Wink

I didnt mind Friday's episode but it wasnt the best we've had recently.

I must have been watching a different show to you these past few months.

It was the worst IMO. That scene in the park was cringe-worthy stuff.

The bit where Sean went on to those complete strangers and started asking them about how long they had been together etc was amusing. Only someone like Sean would do that. Laughing

It was contrived and not in the least bit funny. Tonight's episode was funny - the humour came through naturally.

I have to agree. Tonight's episode was so much better than Friday's.

That's what I thought. Surely customers would have gone outside the front door to smoke.

So it's Harvey's furniture.

My gut reaction is that it's just not a brand which suits sponsorship of Corrie. A long-established, traditional British brand would have been so much better.

I suppose it could have been worse though - it could have been DFS.

Walkers crisps could have been a good one, with all the varieties etc.

If I could have picked a sponsor I'd have gone for Tetley Tea - cosy, traditional, British and warm.
