You'd have thought Claire would have at least given them Casey's phone number - or the police might have asked if she had it. Even if her phone was destroyed in the fire, she'd be able to trace the number through her phone network.

I can't remember if this has been mentioned or not but didn't Joshua take a picture of Kasey and Claire together in the park just before she did a runner?

Was it Joshua who took it? I remember 'a picture' was taken, but my memory is awful so I haven't a clue who took it and who it was of. But well remembered - I reckon this picture may surface in the near future.

DS is reporting that Bruce Jones has been officially axed. He won't be returning to the show, he'll be written out off-screen.

Can't they axe Deve while they're at it - involved in yet another incident at the soap awards according to the Mirror.


Why do they keep giving him second chances - he's never been a great actor!

Yes, he certainly needs to be given his marching orders. The character is now nothing but a caricature of himself. Jimmi's acting is amusing but that's probably because it's so hammy more than anything else.

Wouldn't the camera/photo been incinerated in the fire? Suppose it depends where the camera was stored.

That is a cop-out by Granada and shows all the classic signs of pandering to political correctness. Les was one of the reasons you watched Corrie; if he goes it'll be one less reason to watch the show.

Jimmi Harkishin and Craig Charles deserved to be sacked; Bruce did not.

Is there anything you don't blame on political correctness Simon?

Personally I don't think Les leaving Corrie is a great loss at all. He's always been a terrible actor who seems to have come from the same "if in doubt, shout" acting school as Dev. Although I do think it's a shame he won't get a proper exit.

Out of interest, have there been any other cases of characters being written out 'off screen' like this after being sacked? The only examples I can think of are when the actors have died (like Stan Ogden).
