That's exactly what I thought. Was it me or was that extended street out of position?

How poor was the superimposed picture behind Liz as she ran out of the Rovers after lover boy - the extended street!

Did Doreen use to be in Family Affairs? Its been bugging me while watching tonight.
:-(
Ah thanks, i didn't watch Family Affairs regularly, but i got an overview of who was in it.
Another thing, when Liz was outside with Derek, what was wrong with her lip/cheek area? Maybe it was just my eyes but it seemed puffed up.

found that odd when she met her.
now why can't weatherfield's finest just call up the help line Claire worked / works for and ask about casey?
notice they are not filming the new side of the street, especially number four

So the whole Casey - Clare Casey connection now becomes clear

It was completely wrong - so clearly stuck on the front of the arch - if it were real, the archway would be quite dark and you'd only get a glimpse of the street beyond. This archway annoys me anyway as it goes nowhere; I know why the device of a bridge is used (to cut out unwanted views beyond) but tonight - that was just downright careless.
Is it me or are a number of scenes ending really abruptly - or is it just slap-dash editing / the removal of the defunct plot references?

I think we will see a lot of scenes like that over the coming weeks, untill they catch up to the point where they decided to change the story.
Noticed in Friday's Episode when Liam and Lianne walked down the street from the shop and Kirk runs past with his flowers, the male police officer comes out of Eileens, yet in the next scene in the Peacocks he is still there.
The peacocks will probably suddenly appear in a newly decorated house in about two weeks time

You'd have thought Claire would have at least given them Casey's phone number - or the police might have asked if she had it. Even if her phone was destroyed in the fire, she'd be able to trace the number through her phone network.
It does annoy me when the stark, staring obvious is completely ignored in Corrie like this. And it seems to be happening more and more often of late, like no-one noticing the body they'd left for hours in the factory was cold, and of course Claire and Ashley's stairs.
One thing I'd always admired Corrie for was not treating the viewers as stupid. I'm not sure I can say that at the moment.
