I'll probably be unpopular for saying this but in my own opinion spoilers in general on a TV Forum are pointless.

Looking at that picture, is that all the cast that were there? I wonder who made the acceptance speech for Best Soap? I hope Rob was there, I want to see him get all
when he wins Sexiest Male lol.
Anthony Cotton Best Actor? Wouldnt be my first choice by a long way but I suppose he must be really popular.
nok32uk I agree which is why im not using spoiler tags anymore for discussing the winners of the soap awards - future storylines fair enough but its going to be in all the papers, teletext etc anyway who wins. If ITV want it to be a surprise for the viewers they should broadcast the awards live.

Maybe Rob didnt go because he knew he was likely to get Sexiest Male!
I read an interview in a magazine where he said he'd be embarrassed to win.
Well some of the more senior members of the cast rarely attend awards shows. Barbara Knox only did in 2004 and 2006 because she won awards. Eileen Derbyshire, Anne Kirkbride and Maggie Jones never seem to attend. Bill Roache used to but not so much recently. Helen Worth usually does, she was at the BAFTA's I notice.

Fair enough - personally I'm very anti-spoiler tags unless it's concerning future storylines and future storylines only so I'll limit my use of them as well.
I agree Jez, not a lot of the cast turned out. Maybe they didn't think they'd win?

The Corrie site has a video of them accepting the award - more people turned up than decided to pose for the photographers. Bill Roache made the speech again (it's always him for Corrie and Barbara Windsor for EastEnders isn't it?) and there's a funny moment when he goes "I'd just like to say to all of the other nominees..." and then somebody in the background says "You're rubbish".

Just seen the clip - nice to know more of the cast turned up than we originally thoight! Yes Bill Roache always does the speech when he is there - I think when Corrie won in 2005 he wasnt there so it was Wendi Peters who did the speech.
Well Done to Steve Frost and his team of writers, very well deserved.

Oh really, is that the one that had a heart attack on the playing field, Dad had mental issues, and a younger sister who felt left out?
So that will be Terrys son? Did Jack and Vera have anymore kids?
