If we must use spoiler tags (does anybody really care???)...
Well done Corrie, although I can't say I'm not surprised. I thought it would be EastEnders because of the younger fanbase, and wanted it to be Hollyoaks. But I'd rather Corrie over EE so well done to them.

Apparently the awards were
Best Actress for Kate Ford, Best Actor was Anthony Cotton (why?), Best Newcomer was the wonderful Kym Ryder, Best Exit was Bill Ward, Best Storyline was Tracy killing Charlie, and Sexiest Male was Rob James Collier. Seven in total.

EastEnders won just one with Best Dramatic Performance for Lacey Turner. Hollyoaks took away three including Villain of the Year for Clare and Best Comedy performance for Carmel. Belle Dingle also gave Emmerdale one of two awards for best Young Actor or Actress, with the house explosion getting Most Spectacular Scene. Doctors also took two.

The Lifetime Achievement Award predictably went to Wendy Richard and Special Achievement went to Tony Jordan. I've said EE only won one but if you count those two then it was three in total.

Spoiler tagged in case you didn't want to know.
