I like Claire. If only everyone was a nice as she is.

Tonights episode was ok - good cliffhanger to leave us with until Sunday.

I like Claire too, the world would be a nicer place if there were more people like her around. Rather than unpleasant folk who want to push such people "down the stairs".

Her hilarious rant on Friday was very much justified! I'd sooner have Clurrr as a neighbour than Sinbad and his litter.

Amusing reward for Kirk; Ashley gives him a job at the butchers, for saving Claire. Would you trust him with sharp knives?

She's a little treasure is Claire, would make good best friend material I reackon Smile She wouldnt dream of stabbing anyone in the back like some people.

I read in the spoilers it is Jamie and Kirky who rescue Claire in tonights show, shame it isnt our Liam, our hero Wink

Excellent episode tonight, loved the mix of drama tonight with the aftermath of the fire together with Ken and Deirdre's ongoing feud.

but what happens to freddie now the script has been changed, I hope they don't send him to the little nursery in the sky Crying or Very sad

Noris and Emily were conspicuous by their absence, can't believe Norris wouldn't be around for that

Missed the beginning of this so thought I'd opt for the ITV2 repeat - but it's not on until 1.30am.

And then in the week they're all screwed up with Sundays episode not repeated until Tuesday.

Also, no episode Wednesday due to the Champions League, and no sign of an extra episode anywhere either!

I doubt they've actually axed an episode (they've always been rescheduled in the past), and I wonder if tonight's episode was supposed to air as part of a double bill on Friday - which if it is the case would mean the Mondays episodes being out of synch once again, as they were for a few weeks last year.

maybe it was meant to be tomorrow's double episode

I doubt it was meant as a Friday double - if that was the case both episodes would have been Friday.

As for Wednesday, well it will do no harm to have 4 episodes for one week. Although i wouldnt be surprised if they scheduled an extra episode to make up for it, but there is no sign of that yet. These is no reason why they couldnt have shown it at 10pm instead of "Bars, Booze and Boucers Confessions". They used to always schedule Corrie at 9.45pm or 10pm in the 1990s when there was footie on a Wednesday. Although I expect it incase there is extra time from the footie and they may have to cancel the 10pm show.

That was so sad at the end tonight when Deirdre put the teddy outside the house for Freddie Crying or Very sad

I thought it was a great episode, one of the best so far this year. Just the right mix of drama and humour, with Eileen crying about the last thing Freddy hearing was her awful singing.

Great ending with the Teddy as well. Really well done.

Nicely acted episode, I agree. I do think that Deirdre should have walked back down the path rather than stand there, though.. just my opinion.

Cobbles credits would have been a fitting end to this ep!

I agree, it would have been nice to perhaps have shot of the Teddy alone with Deirdre walking away but it was still a nice ending.

Even just black credits would have been nice. It's dramatic episodes like these that really show up the absolute tackiness of those generic credits. I wish they'd ditch them.

couldn't help thinking of nightmare on elm street when Deirdre said 'freddies dead'

did anybody spot the comment about Ashley and Clare being in the pub and somebody saying 'what and leave the kids in there alone' there is some irony in there considering why the story has been changed.
